This victorian townhouse is in the lovely area of queen’s park. A 2 minute walk to the nearest station, means you can whizz down to oxford street in less than 30 minutes.

The first of the two reception rooms is wonderfully smart and cosy – without lacking in space. A large, comfortable ‘l’ shaped sofa and over-sized foot rest greet you initially, both facing the flat screen television. The traditional open fire is a lovely extra feature reflecting the home’s victorian history.

Sleek wooden floorboards take you through to the dining area, complete with built in bookshelves and corner bench seating around the wooden dining table. This room expands into the second reception area with another large, ‘l’ shaped sofa. Guests can enjoy a glass of wine and a chat whilst a meal is prepared in the facing kitchen. The modern kitchen comprises of the latest equipment and offers ample space around the centre island which is surrounded by breakfast stools. This is a great space for breakfast or for more casual dining.

The sliding glass doors across the far wall of the kitchen open out onto a large, attractive garden – a perfect place for children as there is not only a cute summer house but an activity play area with slide, seat swing and trampoline as well! There is a seating area to the rear of the property just outside of the kitchen door with a contemporary fire pit for those occasions spent outside in the evening air.

On the first floor, the master bedroom is a grand, open space, full of light thanks to the large bay and sash windows. There is a real feel of elegance to this room, with floor to ceiling drapes and antique style wardrobe and dressing table. The far end of the room expands further into a dressing area and an en-suite with his and her wash basins and large shower.

The following bedroom is a single room with traditional fireplace, sash windows facing the garden and a small writing desk for children.

The stylish family bathroom boasts a luxurious claw-foot bath with shower attachment alongside a large shower cubicle with a ‘waterfall’ fixed shower head and heated towel rail on the wall.

Further along the corridor on the first floor is another double bedroom. Sash windows provide plenty of light throughout the house and this room is no exception. A comfy armchair and flat screen television make this an ideal space for relaxing and unwinding. This room also has an en-suite with shower, making it a quiet, private space. The final bedrooms can be found up a second flight of stairs. The first is being used as a nursery and pretty wall murals and a bright, colourful rug create a fun environment, perfect for children! The skylight windows add to the sunny feeling of the room. This room is a good size and has plenty of space.

The final child’s bedroom is also bright and cheery, with lots of colour and a large, decorative rug. This is a great bedroom, featuring double sash windows with padded window seats underneath over looking the garden. There is a separate, adjacent toilet as an added convenience.

Added extras include a cloakroom, laundry room and plenty of storage space.

You are only a 2 minute walk from brondesbury park overground station which has good transport links to east and west london. From here, it takes 23 minutes to reach oxford circus. Queens park underground station is approximately a 10 minute walk which connect you to the northern line. Or, if you fancy a stroll, you could walk to the kilburn station in a little over 10 minutes and take advantage of the jubilee line . With good transport connections, lots of space and a garden, this home is an ideal choice for a family stay.

Child-friendly, great location, near famous landmark, queens park is perfectly situated between other desirable neighbourhoods of kensal rise, kensal green and kilburn. Next to the borough of westminster in north west london the area was developed back in 1875 and grandly named in honour of queen victoria.

The main focus of the area is one of london’s most popular and beautiful green spaces comprising of 30 acres – queens park itself. It is a great space for families, couples and groups to explore, particularly during the warmer summer months but can also make for wonderful autumnal and wintry walks. Open from 7am until dusk every day of the year, the park boasts six tennis courts, a pitch and putt golf course, children’s playground with paddling pool, an ornamental garden and even a children’s animal farm. It is a great spot for the entire family to get together and the ideal place for a picnic.

Guests lucky enough to be staying in the queens park area will be in good company with jade jagger, sophie dahl and daniel craig amongst many musicians and artists calling it home. Nearby chamberlayne road, in kensal rise with its array of independent shops and restaurants was even named ‘hippest street’ in europe by vogue magazine, quite the accolade! Queens park underground/overground, kensal rise overground and excellent bus routes ensure guests are never too far from other key attractions that london offers. Oxford street can be reached in just 15 minutes and leicester square in 20 minutes. For trips out of london euston main rail train station is just 12 minutes away and boasts fast virgin trains to the north of england.

A wonderful, flourishing neighbourhood offering excellent local amenities, an array of stunning homes and various transport options ensuring the rest of london is quickly and easily accessed. It is not difficult to understand why so many celebrities and affluent families love everything that queens park offers.
