THIS CABIN IS A GREAT SECLUDED RELAXING GET-A-WAY!!!!
My husband and I built this cabin for our family to have a place to relax and get away from it all. We decided to start renting it to let others share in the same experience. My husband says we built this cabin like the Johnny Cash song 'One Piece At A Time'. It took several years to complete the project but we finally did and it was well worth it. I know your family will enjoy it as much as ours.
We love to go and get away from it all. This cabin is a great place for you to reconnect with your family. The deck is a great place to have converstions, enjoy the scenery, and admire the water and sometimes hear a fish splash. In the winter you can enjoy the large fireplace in the cabin or build your own fire in the ourdoor firepit. We love to build a fire outdoors and all sit around sharing stories and roasting marshmallows. We also love to play cards so there has been alot of card games played there already. It's a great place to bring your family to enjoy being together and letting them discover the country life.
Everytime we visit the cabin one of our favorite things to do is visit Glover River. It is about 2 miles from the cabin. It is the last free flowing river in Oklahoma and was voted one of the top 10 most beautiful places to visit in Oklahoma. My kids and now my grandson loves to throw rocks in the river. It is a great place to have a picnic, also just sitting and listening to the water flowing down the river is very relaxing. It is definitely worth a trip while you are visiting.
Our favorite moments were seeing the wildlife, watching the sunrise and sunset, taking a hike by the river, playing board games and the fireplace. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with my family. We hope to return again some day soon.
Lazy J Hideaway was wonderful. It was a family trip. We never left the grounds and didn't want to. My 2 year old granddaughter love the pond and fishing, but so did my sons. We will go there again next year. The cabin is beautiful and clean. Pictures do not do it justice. If I had anything negative to say it would be the walkway to the dock could be made safer. It's not a far walk but it has a lot of rocks.
We truly enjoyed this property. Everything was exactly as advertised. No fish in the pond, or we are terrible fishermen. ;) wonderful cabin. Great time.
We celebrated Christmas this year in March with our 90 year old father/father-in-law and what a great celebration it was. Quiet, tranquil setting perfect for the 5 of us with room to spare. Shari was there for every question or direction and had the cabin equipped to perfection down to the comfy beds and high thread count sheets! We are already talking about going back in the Fall so we can try out the horseshoe pit and enjoy a little more porch time. Thanks for your attention to detail....it made the stay one of our best!
Our family just loved staying at Lazy J Hideaway!! It is beautiful, secluded, perfect in every way! If you are wanting a place to just hang out with the family, whether its fishing on the pond, hanging out at the fire pit roasting hotdogs and marshmallows or playing games inside the wonderful cabin, its all there. Great kitchen, great grill on the covered deck, we did not have to eat out. You do not have to go anywhere for entertainment unless you want to. Cannot wait to plan another trip and stay at our favorite cabin! We would highly recommend renting this property!
We had a great time. We would recommend it highly for anyone young or old who wants to get away. Accommodations were perfect and owner so very helpful every step of the way. We enjoyed being caught in an Oklahoma rain storm while sitting under the metal roof around the fire pit; the rain was music to our ears. Thanks for a great time. We will be back.
At first we were a bit worried as we turned down the gravel road and saw the clear cut areas from the logging company. After a few miles we realized that wasn't to be our fate. Instead we drove up to a nicely forested area in the mountain which turned out to be the spot. We were even more amazed at the quality of the cabin and its furnishing. It is a very nice cabin with lots of room to stretch out. Plenty of bed rooms with nice comfortable beds. I'm a fisherman and I was a bit disappointed that the water level was so low, but that isn't anybody's fault except mother nature. We caught several 1 pounder bass and lots of bluegill. I even caught a monster snapping turtle. The wildlife was incredible especially at night. We enjoyed watching the bats come out and listening to the frogs. We really didn't need to leave the cabin and land at all but we did get out and experience Broken Bow. Overall it was a relaxing vacation with good family time. Bring insect repellant and wasp spray. We killed 3 nests on the back patio but there were at least 2 more that probably need to go. I did get stung on the last day and those red wasps aren't kidding. Also I'd recommend spending some time talking to the locals. They are nice people.
