Wonderful Experience

  • 5 of 5

Sue and Barry's studio apartment was a perfect getaway for us while we explored Portland. Their home was very clean and in a wonderful location that allowed us to walk to all the attractions, but still feel like we had a quiet place to retreat to. Sue and Barry were beyond helpful and made us feel welcome during our entire stay. They shared their favorite parts of Portland and are willing to help you in anyway to ensure that you get the most out of your stay. We strongly recommend this apartment and look forward to meeting again in the future!

Winter in Portland

  • 5 of 5

Sue and Barry were fantastic hosts! They were so accommodating to us even before we arrived, and even graciously provided us with transportation to and from the Amtrak station. They were also incredibly thoughtful and provided us with wine and chocolates for Valentine's day.

The apartment itself was cozy, modern and perfect! The location was fantastic and getting around (despite a blizzard) was no problem at all. We'd love to come back!!

Immaculate and well-appointed property

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay with Barry and Sue. Their building is beautiful and everything had been recently remodeled. The apartment is comfortable and conveniently located just off Congress St. Every detail was considered for the renter including welcome snacks and moving our car early morning following snow. When we return to Portland, we hope we'll be able to stay here again. We had a fantastic weekend.

Luxurious studio - highly recommended

  • 5 of 5

Many owners on HomeAway are great at taking pictures of their property but the reality rarely lives up to what's on the screen. Sue's place is the exception as it's just as luxurious and cozy as it appears. She was the perfect host, incredibly helpful and resourceful when asked but never showing up uninvited. Highly recommended!

Great Location, Great Hosts

  • 5 of 5

Sue and Barry did an excellent job on the remodel of their home. They were very welcoming and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our time in Portland. They were available for questions and help, but stayed completely out of our way. The Studio room we rented was perfect for our couples weekend getaway. The location makes all of downtown Portland walkable. The room itself was clean, well thought out and comfortable. My wife and I had a great visit to Portland and can't wait to do it again.

Wonderful Studio w/ all the conveniences of home

  • 5 of 5

You will not be disappointed with your stay here. Sue and Barry are the perfect hosts. Incredibly helpful and respectful of your privacy. The location is ideal for navigating all that downtown Portland has to offer. The unit is well equipped with all the conveniences of home. Their beautiful home is newly restored and spotless. A petite, full kitchen is stocked with all of the housewares necessary should you decide to hunker down but with all of the great restaurants and shopping nearby, you definitely will not want to. Either-way, it's always a nice option to have when traveling. The hospitality given here was the icing on the cake to a fantastic Maine vacation. Now we too ❤️ ME!
