Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday home in Hackney
3 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, 6 Sleeps
A beautiful house with large garden minutes from the fantastic Victoria Park and Village.
A short walk away you are at fashionable London Fields or in the heart of Hackney central. Through the park is the Central line tube, 15 min to Oxford Circus.
At the end of a private cul-de-sac this house really is in a quiet little hide-away. It's a great place to come back to after a full day in London.
Suitable for families and friend groups alike, the house is fully equipped with everything you might need to have a fun and relaxing time during your stay.
There are three bedrooms upstairs, two good size doubles and one small double. (These can be rented separately - please see my other listing.) There is also a very comfortable double sofa bed in the living area.
Guests will be able to enjoy the whole house, complete with garden and conservatory. In the living area there is Sky TV, a digital radio and a sound system with an aux cord which means you can connect any device with a headphone input.
There are sun loungers in the garden and a hammock. Two outdoor tables and foldout chairs seat 8 comfortably.
Victoria Park Village was an East Londoner's secret until recent years, where the popularity of Hackney has uncovered it's treasures.
It has a true Village feel, despite being no distance at all from the popular areas of London Fields, Shoreditch, Dalston, Angel and Old Street. A 15 minute walk through the park (or a five minute bus ride) gets you to Bethnal Green Tube which will take you to central London in 15 minutes.
The house is situated less than two minutes from one of the best pubs in the area - The Hemingway - famous for it's fantastic Scotch Egg and obscure taxidermy.
Also in the village is one of London's best Mexican Restaurants 'Machete', their nachos are to die for, as well as the Margaritas. Another great local haunt is the Vietnamese 'Namo', very well priced and authentic food.
For wine lovers there is the award-winning Bottle Apostle - a wine shop which always has over 25 wines on offer to sample.
If you fancy a BBQ then the famous Ginger Pig Butchers is also in the village - incredible organic and locally sourced meat.
The Pavillion Cafe next to the lake in Victoria Park is just a ten minute stroll from the house, and it does the best Full English or Bacon Sandwich - using meat from the Ginger Pig and other locally sourced ingredients.
There is one private off-street car parking space directly outside the house, and another available in the private car park around the corner.
The house is fifteen minutes walk from Bethnal Green Tube, 20 from Hackney Central (Overground to Dalston and Hampstead and beyond), 10 from London Fields (to Liverpool St).
The nearest bus stop is two minutes away, and this will take you to Bethnal Green if you don't want to walk.
Also there are a lot more bus options from the Village, taking you down to Mile End tube and Canary Wharf in under 20 minutes.
Five minute walk from the house is a set of Boris Bikes - perfect for this area, can be rented with a credit card without having to sign up for anything.
