Photos and Description of this 4 bedroom holiday home in Ocho Rios
Bedrooms 4, Bathrooms 4, Sleeps 8
Terra Nova accommodates up to eight people comfortably. All the four ensuite bedrooms are air-conditioned as well as having ceiling fans.
The master bedroom has a king four poster bed and its own private veranda, overlooking the Caribbean sea. The other three bedrooms can be configured as king or twin rooms.
The Villa is traditionally styled and has a large combined living and dining area. A bar separates the kitchen from the living room and is the perfect place for pre-dinner drinks. Each of the four en-suite bedrooms opens out onto the wrap around verandah which leads to a 36ft freshwater pool.
The Villa has a staff of three: Elsie - the housekeeper and cook; Val - the maid; and Denzil - the gardener and poolman.
For larger parties (six or more) a laundress is also available, on request.
The staff will order food for the evening meal on your arrival and basic supplies for the week. You will be given a bill that can be paid at the local grocery store. You should arrange with the cook the details of meals and times. The staff like to have set hours that they can then work around and they stay until everything is cleaned up in the evening. If required, the staff will do all the shopping and present the bills to you.
The staff live on the grounds in separate quarters. Terra Nova is situated within the private Mammee Bay Estate, the access to which is manned twenty-four hours per day.
Additionally at night, as required at all Jamaican villas, the villa is manned by a night security guard. This is included in the villa rate.
Jamaica is often times referred to as a cultural superpower, because though a very small island nation, it’s name and various aspects of it’s culture especially music is world renowned. Jamaica is the third largest island in the Caribbean and is one of the larger set of islands referred to as the Greater Antilles. There are lots of things to do on land or in the water in Jamaica. Go four-wheeling to Sandy Bay, swing through the trees on a canopy tour or swim with dolphins in Ocho Rios. Other popular activities include hiking, horseback riding, diving, SCUBA diving and other water sports or relaxation on the beaches. There’s something for everyone to do.
