This is a laid back, friendly community (not a 5 star full services resort - nor priced like one), mostly over 40, (but children have been spotted) bucolic setting of old Florida waterways, canals and a private island / lagoon that connects to one of the best bass fishing lakes in America, lake W-In-Water, (lake Weohyakapka), an incredible 7500 acre boating and fishing lake connected to the community.

Great wildlife - sandhill cranes, wild turkey, armadillos, boar, deer, and countless birds and other animals. Beautiful 100 foot oaks throughout property. Play bocce ball, shuffleboard, softball, or poker - some of the many activities that take place all year.

A Family Emergency

Due to a family emergency, we drove from Colorado to Florida with our dog. The location made it easier for us to assist with the family emergency while I also had to continue to work. The high-speed Internet was excellent and handled with no issue the constant video-meetings I had to take each day. The community is nicely maintained and quiet - well, except for the sandhill cranes, ha ha! They kept us entertained, along with the squirrels, bunnies, other birds and gators! Because the property is on a lake, there are bugs and cob webs, this is unavoidable. The property owners are making upgrades to their unit and AC system which will really help. Bottom line, this is tiny home living and it's important to be prepared for that! For our needs, it was great.

Small remote getaway.

If you are looking for a remote quiet location in central FL with Herons, Hawks, Ospreys and orange groves, this might be a good site for you. The unit is small but has a nice large screened porch with great view. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The kitchen needs more baking dishes and larger mixing bowls but otherwise is quite adequate to prepare meals. The bed frame is wooden and Sri is out beyond the bed so you need to be careful maneuvering around it but the king bed is comfortable. The tv and internet were good. There are bikes with the unit and there is a nice pool and plenty of walking trails. Bok Towers is worth the trip and a must see. The unit is sized for 2 adults. The neighborhood is well maintained. Overall a no e place.

Very cozy studio apartment. Very well equipped and clean. Lakeshores Villas complex is quiet and has many activities. Perfect place for rest and relaxation.

What a deal!
