The North End, Boston's Oldest neighborhood, is known primarily as Boston’s Little Italy.

During your stay here, you will experience the charm of neigborhood living

The North End is divided to the southwest by the Rose Kennedy Greenway—a beautiful public park that stretches a mile and a half to South Station and to the north and east, by Boston harbor. Bostons' Freedom Trail runs through The North End, and some of its historical landmarks include North Square,The Paul Revere House, The Old North Church, and Copp’s Hill burying ground.

Hanover Street, the North Ends main thoroughfare, was originally a Native American Indian path, allowing access to the shore, prior to the first European settlement in the 17th century

Today, Hanover Street, and the North End offer great daytime attractions, as well as a vibrant nightlife.

Throughout the North End you will find quaint Italian cafes offering heavenly espressos and cappucinos, many authentic Italian markets, stocked with the best olive oils, meats, cheeses and pastas, close to100 restaurants serving some of Bostons BEST Italian food, and, arguably, the city’s best pastry shops—Mike’s Pastry and Modern Pastry. Crunchy cannolis, delicious Biscottis, and creamy Gelato are just a few of the treasures that you will experience as you saunter through this historic Boston neighborhood.

Hanover street offers views of The Paul Revere Monument beautiful St Leonards Church, and historic St Stephens Church, the baptismal sight of Rose Kennedy(1890)

The North End is extremely walkable. Just a short stroll will bring you to many Boston attractions such as Faneuil Hall, Boston Common, The Boston Public Garden,The New England Aquarium, the USS Constitution, The Bunker Hill Monument, and an abundance of Boston Harbor based activities .

The location was perfect for us as we walked everywhere in the three days we stayed. It was also conveniently only a short cab ride from the airport. We appreciated that it was a ground floor apartment. The Freedom Trail was just a block away as were great restaurants and two very fine bakeries. We took the commuter train to Salem one day and spent two days on the Freedom Trail. The last morning we walked along the boardwalk (also just a block away). The unit was very well equipped with everything we needed and we were very grateful for the umbrellas as it poured rain one morning. The bathroom was a little tight but everything in the apartment was super clean and nice.
The only recommendation I would have would be a visitors binder with a bit of starter info about the Trail, nearby grocery store location and some previous visitors restaurant recommendations. It did take us a bit to get orientated and to get to a visitors map. We had to ask a neighbor for directions to a grocery so we could purchase a few breakfast and snack items (Golden Goose Market). Great vacation and now marked off my "Bucket List". Highly recommend!

Adorable, cozy, and clean...

Adorable, immaculate (and I'm picky!) charming little ground floor apartment in the quiet area of Little Italy. We loved having the privacy and the space for the price of a smaller hotel room. The owners have thought of everything--we even had umbrellas for our rainy day. Take the Old Town Trolley Tour from the Starbucks on Commercial Street to everything. You can get on and off all day. Your ticket is good for two days. We did this too late and only had a day to use ours. We also recommend Giacomo's for takeout and seeing the USS Constitution before it goes into dry dock in 2015. Thanks, Terry. You made our first vrbo experience a great one!

It is true, we did try to think of everything our guests may need for a comfortable stay!
The Old Town Trolley tour is a good idea, because it offers many different great tours of the city , and the meeting place is just a 3 minute walk from the apartment
"Little Italy" (also known as The North End )has over 100 restaurants , and Giacomos was a great choice!
Thank you for taking the time to write a review and we hope to see you again sometime if you ever return to Boston
Best regards

What a great apt. - perfect in every way! Very tastefully decorated, comfortable, great floor plan, and just steps away from restaurants, pastry shops, Golden Goose Market and sightseeing (Paul Revere house, North Church, ferry, etc.) Absolutely no need for a car - even my elderly mother could walk to all of the above. Easy check in/check out and the owner (Terry) is very quick at responding to any and all questions. Thank you Terry - it was fantastic. This is the place to stay!!
