Loon Sound Cottage is located on beautiful Toddy Pond in Surry, Maine. The cottage is centrally located between Bar Harbor/Acadia, Blue Hill Peninsula, Belfast, Bucksport, and Bangor. Come and enjoy the peace and tranquility of Maine while being just a short drive from several of the top site seeing spots!
This charming cottage is nestled in amongst the evergreen trees and is located just 60 feet from the shoreline. Enjoy cooking fresh Maine lobster and blueberry pie in the full kitchen, or grill in the open air on the gas grill while watching the sunset over the pond. The living room is the perfect place to sit and relax after a day of hiking in Acadia or kayaking right on the pond. Or enjoy listening to the loon calls from the sweet screened in porch off of the living room. Wake to beautiful sunrises from your bedroom, which offers a comfortable queen sized bed. There is also a double futon in the living room for overnight guests. The cottage has had several new improvements this year with a few more to come!

We are Maureen and Rob. We moved to this beautiful piece of property about 10 years ago. Maureen is the liaison for Hospice of Eastern Maine and is also an RN. Rob is a retired Assistant Professor of Engineering and Industrial Arts as well as a Machine Shop Instructor at Maine Maritime Academy.

This sweet cottage offers separate access to the pond and a feeling of privacy while being close to the owners home in case any needs arise during your stay. The cottage is well out of the way of the hustle and bustle of Maine in the summer, but just a short drive to these areas- the best of both worlds!
