Block Island has for the vacationer what doesn't seem possible anymore - utter, complete, kicked-back relaxation. Those who cross the twelve miles from what islanders call 'America,' shed more than their neckties and high heels; they shed schedules and agendas. They find a place where they can drift through the days without pressure, without pretense - a place where getting dressed -up means getting out of a swimsuit and into shorts, where going to the post office is a big event. Bring your family, your bikes and your adventure and sample this way of life for a week this summer!

Our clean, cute 2 bedroom apartment is walking distance to town and the beaches. The apartment is attached to the main house but has its own access with a front and back door. Winter of 2021/22 is bringing many upgrades to the property. The unit will have new windows and doors providing a quieter inside space. We will also be upgrading to heat/air conditioning “splits”. And lastly we are finally getting broadband! All these items have forced us to increase our rates but still feel we offer a great value. We have installed hardwoods throughout and we pride ourselves on the cleanliness. Each week we turn over the unit personally and make sure it's just the way WE would want to rent it. Every year items are replaced and maintained and updated as needed.

Each bedroom has a bureau and a closet. Ceiling fans are in each room (bedrooms and living room). As mentioned above, there will be air conditioning throughout. There is also a trundle under one of the twin beds. We do limit the number of occupants to 5. Water and electricity usage is costly to say the least!

The kitchen is outfitted with pots, pans, bowls, etc. There is a coffee maker, toaster and microwave. There are also extra items like wine openers, measuring cups etc. the stove/oven and frig were new in 2020.

There is a great front porch w/rockers and a large back yard with a play structure. Our property fronts Harbor Pond where you can launch kayaks or canoes. Gas grill and outdoor shower are available as well. There is plenty of room for bikes and other toys.

We are located steps from the grocery store (we call it our pantry!), the Bagel Shop, the bank and several restaurants. A car is not necessary with our location but should you choose to bring one, there is off street parking.

We realize you are on vacation. There may be some things you do not want to hassle with so we have offered to provide a few extra services. The apartment does not come with linens (sheets, bath towels or beach towels) but for an additional fee of $125 we will have that in the apartment for your arrival. Also, Block Island does not offer garbage pick up. Each tenant is responsible for taking their garbage to the transfer station at the end of their stay. However, for an additional $25 we will do that for you.

Our apartment has been available for rental for the past 28 years. Each year we have multiple return renters. Our season usually is completely booked by March 1 so if you are considering a stay with us don't wait!

Great Block Island Apartment
Great location with large private back yard, kayak water access to Harbor Pond, water views, short walk to grocery store, near beaches. Apartment had excellent cooling with fans and individual room AC units. Hosts very friendly and accommodating.

Family vacation
We had the best time in BI! This cottage is perfect for a small family. The owners couldn’t have been nicer. Location was perfect and the backyard was very large. The kids loved running around, playing on the swings, having a fire and going out in the row boat. We can’t wait to come back!

Wedding Weekend on Block Island
What a beautiful rental in proximity to everything, this place had it all, convenience, cleanliness, terrific owner communications and explanations, we will stay here again if we ever come to beautiful Block Island. We especially loved the yard with corn hole, fire pit and beautiful water view complete with daily visits from the deer. Just spectacular. Thank You Beth and family for everything.

Cozy spot, close to it all
My friends and I had a fantastic time here! It's within a couple blocks of multiple restaurants, bars, a grocery store, and a liquor store. The couple that live in the attached house were the absolute nicest people and were more than welcoming. They even gave us advice on things to do in the area. The outdoor shower, cornhole boards, lawn chairs, and hammocks put this place over the top! Would rent again in a heartbeat.
