SWEET VICTORIAN COTTAGE, TWO MINUTES FROM HIGH ST., VERY SPECIAL, LOVELY ENERGY

Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday cottage in Glastonbury

Glastonbury Rose is a four star AA cottage, lovingly decorated, and cared for. It has one twin and one double room, and is well furnished. The double bedroom has an unobstructed view of the Tor, and the twin looks out to the Goddess Hall, and St. Benedict's Church. It has very cozy beds with nice linens. The bathroom has a strong shower as well as a bath. The kitchen is stocked with breakfast basics on your arrival, including milk, butter, eggs, cereal, bread, tea and coffee. There is a little outside terrace to grab some sunshine in the morning. It has very little traffic, as it is not a busy through road. It is two minutes from the High St. with easy access to all shops, restaurants, and events. Its a twenty minute walk to the Chalice Well and the Tor, or there is a seasonal bus which leaves from the High St. for your convenience. Glastonbury Rose has consistently received good reviews on Trip Advisor since opening a couple of years ago. We are always on hand if needed, or you want some advice. We also offer sacred site tours, alternative therapies, and airport/train pick up if needed.

I am an American, who came to England to study, and ended up marrying and Irishman whom I met while visiting Glastonbury. We have a daughter together, and run Glastonbury Rose, as well as another property called Divine Light. We also have a sacred site tour company.

Meredith and John Flanagan purchased this cottage in 2011

Centrally located, lovingly cared for, and beautifully decorated, Glastonbury Rose has everything you need for a relaxing and magical stay in Avalon.

Glastonbury is set on the Somerset Levels, and within a few minutes drive to the Nature Reserves, which are famous for bird watching, and especially the starlings in winter. Glastonbury is a place of pilgrimage for all faiths, and is known for being the 'heart chakra' with all the ley lines of earth crossing under Glastonbury Tor. The Chalice Well Peace Garden is a sanctuary, and natural spring, which has attracted people through the ages for its healing properties. Glastonbury Tor, is a site famous the world over. The area is also known for cider making, and there are many places to sample the local 'scrumpy' within the surrounding area. Historically, the ruins of the Abbey are probably its most famous attraction, being the site of the first Christian church in the western world. Jesus's uncle, Joseph of Arimathea is meant to have brought the young Jesus here, and later, brought the cup from the last supper. It is reputed to be buried somewhere in Glastonbury. King Arthur's bones are meant to have been found in the Abbey as well. Glastonbury High Street is a colourful place, with a host of wonderful restaurants and shops, mostly catering to New Age tourists, but also a host of unique and special ones. Lots of courses take place here all year round, and there are many conferences such as the Goddess Conference, and Crop Circle Conference. One cannot fail to be touched and inspired here, and many people feel like it's their second home, due to the friendliness, and openness of its residents.
