This villa's hilltop location makes for lots of lovely island breezes with views of Chocolate Hole and the Caribbean Sea beyond Hart Bay.

This villa boasts a wonderful floor plan and a downright glorious screened sitting area where you can sit and enjoy a good book or a nap. Pura Vida’s two bedroom suites are private and tastefully appointed with cozy furnishings and air conditioning for warm nights. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom and will make you feel right at home.

An easy drive from town and top-notch beaches, Pura Vida is an excellent choice for experiencing St. John. Our community has a wonderful walking/hiking trail to Hart Bay. Just past our driveway (around the bend) there is a path on the left that will lead you through the canopy of trees to the beach. After finding St. John a few years ago on an anniversary trip - and falling in love immediately - we have been thrilled to purchase this wonderful and historic home in Chocolate Hole. We live in Maryland and have 8 children together - 6 children are now in college or beyond, leaving us with two boys at home. We travel to St. John frequently as we have also purchased a business on the island - Drift Away Day Spa. We love our new vacation home and we know you will love it also.

We chose this property because it is extremely unique for St. John. While all properties are beautiful on this island, this house caught our attention immediately as we drove up the long driveway, past the historic ruins to the expansive yard and surroundings. It is truly a private sanctuary in which to enjoy the island and all it has to offer.

The open floor plan is ideal for a gathering or simply relaxing and viewing the ocean. Enjoy the walking trail to Hart Bay. The screened sitting area is ideal for a late afternoon cocktail, for sitting and enjoying a book, or for taking a nice nap while enjoying glorious breezes and viewing the lovely landscaping. It's a very quick trip to Cruz Bay - great for an evening of dinner or activity. The house is equipped with everything you will need for a wonderful vacation - beach chairs, coolers, snorkel equipment, and a full stocked kitchen in which you can prepare any meal of your choosing.

We had such a good time! The home was beautiful, it provided us with everything we needed for the week in the home as far as beach towels, kitchen utensils, wash detergent, etc! The refrigerator was already packed with a few snacks! Our kids and us played the games provided and watched the movies in the home. The a/c in the bedroom blew cold enough to be comfortable when we slept! The location was quiet and the view was amazing!! Thanks for letting us stay in your home!! We will definitely be back!!

Chocolate Hole is an excellent location convenient to local beaches and downtown Cruz Bay. Our community has a beautiful walking trail to Hart Bay. Take your coffee mug with you and stroll down to the beach in the morning and take in the beautiful ocean breezes. Path starts past our driveway after the bend in the road. The path will be on the left side of the road. You'll travel through a canopy of trees ending up at the beach.
