We have owned and personally operated our 'Coral Gardens' B&B Guest House and Apartments since 1999 -- SEE SEPARATE ADVERTISEMENT for the B&B GUEST HOUSE. We have been chosen as the #1 on Exuma for the last 5 years by the worlds largest travelers organisation and have more than 200 best rated reviews from guests from all over the world reflecting enjoyable visits by singles, couples, families & groups of friends.

We are ideally located only 10 minutes from the international airport and 6 minutes from Georgetown The beautiful Hoopers Bay beach--regarded as one of the best on Exuma is just a few minutes away

Flying to Exuma is straightforward with daily DIRECT flights on American and United together with regular DIRECT flights on Delta and Air Canada.Additionally there are several flights each day from Nassau on Bahamasair and Sky Bahamas

Each well equipped and comfortable apartment can sleep 3 adults in a combination of a King bed + single bed or 3 single beds.There is also room for a 4th (rollaway) bed for a child up to 12 years old.

Each apartment has its own, separate and private entrance door, full kitchen including stove with oven,fridge/freezer,microwave,coffee maker,toaster ,washing machine etc. One apartment has a shower room with WC and hand basin with the other apartment having a bathroom with tub and shower + WC and hand basin. Both apartments have lounge/dining areas, views of the countryside and sea + own private sundecks. They are equipped with A/C and ceiling fans, cable TV and radio/CD player and FREE, unlimited WiFi

About Betty & Peter Oxley

Betty and Peter moved permanently to Exuma in 1999 after retiring from their jobs in England. Betty had owned and run a successful B & B in England for 15 years so the objective was to find a suitable property where we could both live and operate as a small Guest House + self-catering apartments.

'Coral Gardens' was found and suited our requirements for its size and location Now with our combined 30 years experience of helping our guests we are able to make the best suggestions to get the most out of a visit to Exuma.

'Coral Gardens' is situated along a small quiet private road and on the side of a small west facing hill which allows for maximum sunshine all the day and beautiful sunsets.The Exuma breezes also provide for more comfort than many other locations especially in the hot summer months.

The Hoopers Bay area is primarily residential but a good range of local shops for groceries, butchers, deli, pharmacy and liquor are within walking distance--providing further savings than other locations which need a taxi or a rental car for shopping !!

Siamo stati in luna di miele una settimana in agosto. E' stata una settimana favolosa, tra mare bellissimo, con queste spiaggiette piccole di sabbia bianca senza nessuno vicino, eravamo solo noi e la natura. Exuma è un isola paradisiaca con spiaggie stupende. E che dire dei suoi abitanti; persone di una estrema gentilezza e cordialità, ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa nostra. E un grande ringraziamento ai proprietari Peter e Betty, persone favolose. Peter ci ha organizzato praticamente tutto; grazie ai suoi consigli giornalieri abbiamo visto praticamente tutta l 'isola, ci consigliava dove mangiare, che spiagge vedere, grazie a lui abbiamo fatto anche un escursione alle cays in barca(ve la straconsiglio) abbiamo visto pig island,fatto snorkeling nella blu hole, abbiamo visto razze giganti, stelle marine..insomma per farla breve se volete andare ai caraibi andate a exuma ( è il paradiso in terra) e sopratutto andate al coral garden

Ps: Peter e Betty sicuramente ci rivedremo presto

Ottima soluzione e rapporto qualità/prezzo

Il Coral Gardens è una bella residenza composta da un corpo centrale (dove vivono i proprietari e dove si può soggiornare in bed & breakfast) e due appartamenti ai suoi lati, circondata da un giardino gradevole. Noi siamo stati nell'appartamento più grande, composto da una camera da letto (1 singolo + 1 matrimoniale enorme), un salotto (con divano letto) con angolo cottura e un bagno (decisamente grande); ci sono anche un piccolo corridoio con armadio a muro e patio privato (dove potrete bere un aperitivo, guardando il tramonto).
L'appartamento è dotato di tutto il necessario per soggiornare comodamente (TV grande, radio CD, Wi-Fi gratuito di buona velocità, ventilatori a soffitto e aria condizionata), cucinare adeguatamente e lavare qualche indumento, visto che c'è anche una lavatrice. Acqua in abbondanza (anche quella calda).
Peter & Betty (i proprietari) sono due inglesi che da 15 anni vivono a Exuma. Sono stati molto ospitali, gentili e cordiali. Parlano un inglese molto chiaro e a una velocità adeguata affinché l'interlocutore (evidentemente non madrelingua anglosassone) possa tranquillamente capire e interagire.
Peter è un conoscitore dell'isola e quindi potrà dare qualsiasi consiglio su spiagge, negozi, banche, ristoranti, taxi, escursioni, etc. quando ne farete richiesta (soprattutto i primi giorni).
Visti i prezzi degli affitti per un soggiorno di breve periodo, la tariffa del CG è decisamente molto competitiva. Questo è dovuto anche al fatto che la struttura non si trova sul mare, ma a circa 800 metri dalla stupenda baia di Hoopers. Preso comunque atto che a Exuma l'automobile è necessaria perchè ci sono veramente molte spiagge da vedere, tanto vale spendere meno per l'appartamento e noleggiare una macchina. E' chiaro che chi ha un budget più alto a disposizione potrà chiedere a Peter infos sulle altre due sistemazioni che affitta sulla spiaggia. A proposito, Peter noleggia anche le automobili; ne ha 4 (tra cui 2 mini Jeep, 1 van 7 posti e una mini-monovolume) e potrete quindi rivolgervi a lui (tra l'altro a prezzi buoni rispetto ai rent-a-car del luogo).
Insomma, il CG è decisamente un bel posto. Siamo molto soddisfatti della scelta fatta. Noi siamo una famiglia composta da due adulti e una bambina di 9 anni.
Il giudizio di 4 stelle è condizionato dal fatto che la casa è distante dal mare. Ma per il resto è tutto molto ben organizzato da Peter. La pulizia iniziale era di buona fattura. Cambiamo asciugamani ogni 2 giorni e lenzuola ogni 3.
