About Abigail Daly
I live and work in Glasgow but escape to the lodge whenever I can. I work with charities and tourism organisations and edit a magazine.
Abigail Daly purchased this cabin in 2013
Why Abigail Daly chose Isle of Bute & Cowal Peninsula
Me and my partner bought Ruskin Lodge after falling in love with the area. Cowal is a beautiful and relatively undiscovered part of Scotland and there are so many different kinds of landscapes - lush ancient forest, dramatic barren mountains, a gorgeous coastline and bubbling rivers.
What makes this cabin unique
The lodge is our idea of a dream holiday escape. It has been completely refurbished and all the gorgeous golden wood has been lovingly restored. It almost shines. I love sitting in the living room and watching the birds and red squirrels in the ancient oak tree. I love hearing the creaks of the logs after a warm day. I love the feeling of the thick, soft carpet between my toes!
