The luxurious and unique Quinta de Santo Antonio is an 18th century manor, which has been fully refurbished during the last decade. The noble Quinta is ideally located in a rural setting, by the footsteps of the Sintra mountain range, next to the luxurious Penha Longa golf resort. Beautiful Guincho beach, cosmopolitan Cascais and Estoril are only 6 km away. This is a brilliant location for nature lovers, as the Sintra-Cascais National Park lies harmoniously in the background, where you will find magnificent hiking tracks with an abundance of wild flowers, birds and wildlife. The efficient motorway network is 2 km away, so Cascais and Sintra are only 10 minutes away and Lisbon can be easily reached in under 30 minutes.
Quinta de Santo Antonio offers the ideal setting for the perfect holiday. A large private swimming pool and beautiful grounds in a 3000 m2 private garden estate, close to the beach and the many attractions of Cascais, Estoril, Lisbon and Sintra. The Penha Longa luxury resort which borders the villa provides a 5 star hotel, 2 golf courses, luxury spa, horseback riding, tennis, bars and restaurants. Sintra, a member of UNESCO World Heritage Site Cities, with its castle, palaces and gardens set in lush vegetation and ravishing views, is a scenic 10 minute drive across the mountain.
Locally, there is a huge choice of the latest films in original language with over twenty screens in four local cinema complexes, reachable within 10 minutes, as are two attractive shopping centres. Summer brings international festivals; classical music and ballet in Sintra, jazz in Estoril and fireworks in Cascais. Lisbon, with its historic heritage sites and rich cultural life is only half an hour away. Less distant in the other direction. is the coastal resort of Cascais, where you will find superb beaches, restaurants, night-life and shopping, as well as a charming old town with rewarding sight-seeing. Thanks to the motorway network the Templar Knights’ castle and chapels at Tomar and Batalha are within an easy day trip, as well as the ancient academic town of Coimbra.
For more than 20 years Estoril enjoyed its status as the glamorous venue of the Portuguese Formula 1 Grand Prix. Famous winners include Nigel Mansell and Alain Prost (on three occasions each), seven time world champion Michael Schumacher, and Brazilian hero Ayrton Senna. The last winner was Jacques Villeneuve in 1997. Quinta Santo Antonio is located near the historic racetrack, which welcomes visitors to its stand, gift shop and paddock on special occasions. Nowadays with little or no usage, the circuit is occasionally used for testing and training.
