The cottage is very nice. Beautiful view nice location. However, the thermostat was set at 68 and locked and we roasted the whole week. Overall it was clean but the dust under the beds and behind furniture set off our allergies and made us miserable. Also the grill was so rusted and falling apart that we did not dare to use it so we bought a portable one.
The cabin was very well appointed and the view from the front enclosed porch was spectacular. It was too chilly to enjoy taking the kayaks out on the pond, but it was great that they were available. We loved using the pellet stove and having a nice comfortable place to come back to after leaf-peeping and exploring southern Vermont. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a vacation rental in the area.
Where to begin? Well, for starters anyone wondering if this property is not big enough for their party or family should know that this residence snuggly housed four of my friends and I; we had plenty of room to do everything we needed inside.
The property itself was lovely - my only regret is that we went during April Spring Break and did not get to enjoy the Spring weather as we would have liked to.
We spent 3 nights and 4 days and had plenty of things to do - enough to stay busy the whole time and wish we stayed a few more days.
We stayed here for a snowboarding trip to Mount Snow with a few friends. The home was exactly what we expected (clean and cozy) and very easy to fnd. Rose was great to work with from start to end. We can't wait to go back next year!!
