Beautiful flat, well equipped and perfect location: ideal for couples and families
As a London couple with two kids, we travel often around Europe. We spent 5 days in Barcelona in early January, and must say the flat was wonderful, as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. It looked completely new, with two bedrooms with queen-size beds, two bathrooms and a large elegant living room with a sofa that converts into a bed. The flat is beautifully decorated, and managed to satisfy the high standards of my wife (which I must say does not happen very often). Great natural light all around the flat (it is on the fifth floor), all of which makes it very comfortable to spend some quality family time after a day of tourism. I must say the sofa was ideal for a nice siesta after one too many tapas.
Not a single complain regarding utilities: heating works perfectly, mattresses, pillows and towels were all of high quality, and the kitchen is well equipped, with a dryer that comes in handy prolonged stays. The building looked very new to be honest, with two lifts and surprisingly good security measures.
The flat’s location is great: the neighbourhood is very popular, with all major tourist attractions at a walking distance. It took us 15 minutes to walk to Las Ramblas, and another 5 to the Gothic quarter (which is impressive taking into account we had two kids slowing us down!); 15 minutes to Columbus and the Port Vell Marina, and just under that to Miró Museum and the Pueblo Espanol. We discovered 3 fantastic restaurants within 200 metres from the flat (Tickets, Ikibana and Bella Napoli), which we later researched and coincidentally they happened to be amongst the top restaurants in Barcelona!
We must put in a great word for Victor, the owner of the flat, who treated us greatly during our stay there: he made a booking for us at a great restaurant, and was able to put us in contact with a very good tourist guide.
Overall I would describe it as great accommodation at a fantastic price, particularly good for couples and families.
