Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday home in Pacific Harbour
3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 5
We built this pretty second home and pool in Fiji in 2005 when we were living next door. The house is all-mahogany in and out with a 360 degree veranda, the back overlooking a lovely pool. A perfect place for r&r, wake up with the sun (or later!) and relax on the back veranda with your coffee and a good novel, dipping into the pool as much as you wish.
Our home is fully furnished with double beds in each of 2 bedrooms that sleep 2 persons each and a sofa-bed in the 3rd bedroom. Two pretty bathrooms, each with a shower, a living room that opens onto the kitchen and eating area combine to provide you with a sense of simplicity and ease during your stay in Fiji.
We lived in Fiji twice, raised our son and worked there and these have been some of the most wonderful times of our lives. Fijians are as warm as the tropical south pacific weather; having an opportunity to get to know them will be a highlight of your visit.
Pacific harbor is a 2-hour drive along the coral coast, from the international airport in nadi. You can rent a car for the duration of your stay but it is also easy to get around in Fiji via local buses and reasonable taxis and vans, and just walk around our neighborhood to reach the beach and many of the various local activities. Pacific harbor and the surrounding areas have a number of outdoor activities to enjoy from diving and snorkeling to tennis and golf, river rafting and boat trips up the river to visit indigenous villages. A long sandy beach is close by - a 5-6 block walk through the lovely streets of pacific harbor from the villa - and you can spend the whole day just relaxing, swimming and playing there.
Pacific harbor also has several cafes and restaurants as well as small grocery shops for supplies should you want to eat in. The capital city of Suva is located a bit less than an hour away by bus or taxi and worth a trip or two in order to see this small city's colonial style architecture, visit the south pacific museum and the large outdoor fruit, veggie and spice market. Having lived in and loved Fiji for many years we are happy to provide any advice or guidance about your trip there which we hope will be spectacular.
