This is a 100+ year old, vintage, quirky building. If you are looking for the Marriott experience, I'm afraid this is not for you! :)
My name is Cindy - I grew up in Chicago and loved it... but got the bug to come to Colorado 15 years ago. Haven't looked back since! My family loves skiing, snowshoeing, hiking 14ers, camping, enjoying the great outdoors... but mostly travelling!. Our recent trips were Thailand and Alaska - which were absolutely spectacular! Next on the agenda - Yellowstone and Grand Tetons, Chicago, and possibly Portugal! :)
Cindy purchased this apartment in 2011
We purchased this building a few years ago because we missed the fun of owning a rental property. Twelve units, great tenants, a cool 100 year old building in a hopping neighborhood - we are really enjoying it. We have been renovating the apartments one by one - and each unit is quirky, different and unique. We also have onsite free parking - a real amenity in the city! We hope you enjoy staying at the apartment as much as we enjoying managing it!
Great great great location. And isn't location everything!? Close to so many fun things to do -- the zoo, the Botanic Gardens, downtown, the US Mint and the Art Museum are all within a short bus ride or walk. A little further on, you'll find the iconic Red Rocks Ampitheater, Golden, and the great mountain town of Evergreen with its ice skating lake and quaint downtown. Then there's skiing in the mountains, Rocky Mountain National Park, the Continental Divide Trail, Colorado Springs, The Garden of the Gods, Fort Collins - all are about a 90 minute drive.
Great place , everything is nearby .
Really close to bicycle station .
Cindy the host was nice and helpful .
I would look forward to stay there again .
The location and price of this little spot can't be beat. If you want an inexpensive, highly walkable place, this is it.
If you want luxury of any kind, this is not the spot for you. The building has many undesirable smells, including a moldy smell in the apartment itself. Also for anyone with mobility issues, the steps to get up the apartment would be tough.
Small-yet-mighty studio; everything you need is right here. Great restaurants within walking distance on 17th Ave, and two restaurants and a soccer bar right next door. Super easy to get downtown and to other points of interest from this safe, residential neighborhood. Best parts of staying here? It's quiet, the other tenants are incredibly friendly and helpful, and Cindy is one of the nicest, most accommodating people you will ever meet. Will easily stay here again on the next trip to Denver!
Stayed here for 3 nights on a quick trip to Denver and couldn't have asked for a better stay! The location is perfect, close to restaurants and attractions as well as transportation! The apartment was clean, and Cindy was always available to answer any questions I had. I highly recommend this unit to anyone looking to stay in Denver!
My partner and I stayed here for 1 week and it was great! Very convenient location. We used the Denver B Cycle bikes to get everywhere. The room was cozy and well stocked with everything you need. It was a great place to stay while exploring Denver. We flew in very late at night but it was no problem getting in the house. The owner was very accommodating and easily accessible with any questions we had.
I stayed here for three days back in January and it was exactly what I wanted! It was very close to everything and very comfortable. Although I did not get to meet Cindy in person I did meet Becki who gave me my keys and was very informative about things to see and restaurants to check out. This spot is perfect for one person or a couple who want to be out on the town mostly but also want the option of cooking if they choose, and at a really good price! Also check out the art museum during your stay its well worth it.
