This two story house with 3 bedrooms has all you need for a fabulous stay in Bermuda. The upstairs is two bedrooms one with a queen bed the second with two twins which can be pushed together to make a king bed. It has a full bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, living room with cable, and a dining room. Downstairs has a king size bed and a pull out queen size couch. It also has its own bathroom with shower. Laundry is also located downstairs. It has a great private outdoor space with table for 8 and a BBQ. The house also has a pool table and ping pong table for great entertainment on your vacation.
The house is located on a very private lane but very close to the town centre. The grocery store and many other amenities are within two blocks of the house. One of the best beaches on the island for snorkelling is only a 15 minute walk away.
I was born and raised in Bermuda all my family live here. Neil came to the island almost 20 years ago on a work permit and now calls it home.
We loved this property for its location and privacy.
Our accommodations couldn't have been more perfect. It was clean, homey, spacious, and so nicely decorated - and had a water view as well!!! The location was fantastic as we could walk into town, walk to local beaches or hop on bus to explore other parts of island. We were a group of 5 women celebrating our 50th birthdays and we look forward to returning in the near future. Thank you for sharing your home!!
We absolutely loved our stay. The home was inviting and spacious. The pool table and ping pong table added to our enjoyment. Faith was always available, friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again!
The house was very spacious and centrally located in St.George. We were not disappointed. The pictures were accurate and it was so close to everything. The views from the house were spectacular. It was hot while we were there and the air conditioning worked beautifully. Faith & Neil (owners) also have a water sports rental business nearby and the paddle boarding is wonderful. We loved Bermuda and cannot wait to go back. We will definitely rent accommodations from them again. No hassles - good communication. Scooter rental depot is a 5-10 min walk. We rented those for the week and toured the whole island. So many wonderful sites to see. It is a 10-15 min walk to Tobacco Bay beach (less on the scooters).
I went for a quick weekend trip with my fiance, brother and parents for my mom's 60th birthday. The house was perfect and more than enough space for us. We had a minor issue with ants but it's a house almost on the water so to be expected. St. Georges is right down the road and has a grocery store and some restaurants. The bus into Hamilton takes about 45 minutes and can be seen from the house. If you wanted to explore the other side of the island (Elbow Beach, Horseshoe Bay, etc.) stay on that side of the island because it's a bit of a trek. We LOVED Tobacco Bay, which is about a 10 minute walk. It's a smaller beach but has a restaurant and bar and really helpful attendants. The water was beautiful and we snorkled by the rocks out in the water. It got a little busy when the cruise passengers were in but we could always find a spot to lay down our towels.
The highlight of the trip was our jet ski tour with Craig from Just Add Water. I highly recommend booking activities through them. We got a great price for staying at Herchalat and Craig was an excellent instructor.
Great stay. Would highly recommend this house for someone taking a quick trip in Bermuda and looking to stay in St. George.
Our 3 boys are 11, 15, and 19 years old, and this year we realized it's no longer possible to squeeze into a hotel suite. Planning a trip to Bermuda is even trickier, since our younger boys are too young to drive scooters (and frequent bus rides can ruin a vacation). Our best option was a rental home close to beaches and amenities. We never used HomeAway or VRBO before, and had lingering concerns before our trip. Will we be comfortable in a home instead of a hotel, are the pictures misleading, what hidden fees might pop up? Every concern was met with a pleasant surprise to the contrary. Herchalat is a beautiful property carved into the hillside, and we felt like St George residents by week's end. The photos online do no justice to the breathtaking views from every corner of the property. It's close to every imaginable convenience, but private and secluded at the same time. So many unexpected treats were included with the rental that we felt guilty. Faith and Neil also run a water sports business in town (Just Add Water) with a surf shop we walked to every day. Their staff is incredible, and helped our boys find some extra adventure. Ironically, our stay coincided with the rainiest week all summer. If we had stayed in a resort our vacation would have been ruined. At Herchalat, passing showers were a minor inconvenience. The other tourists we met needed to hop a bus, ferry, or cycle in the rain to trek back to their hotels and cruise ships. We just strolled back for a bite to eat, cocktails, and billiards until the sun returned. St George offers so many activities, we could only experience a few- snorkeling, kayaking, scooter rentals, scenic ferry rides, hiking, swimming on secluded beaches, shopping, eating at great restaurants, even jumping off cliffs (with safe guidance from Ian at JAW). We felt sorry for the hoards of cruise passengers squeezing off the ferry every day lugging all their gear to get where we were staying. Can't wait to return and do some of the things we never had time for, like renting a boat, bicycling, touring the island on jet skis, and the ping pong tournament I promised my son (but we never got around to uncovering the table out back.)
Me and six girlfriends stayed here on during my birthday weekend this year. We had the most amazing time at this residence. The views were nice and there was enough room for everyone. Tobacco Beach and the Unfinished Church are just short walks away. As well as the grocery store and some restaurants. It is a little far from the center of the city, however there is a bus that goes straight to Hamilton and the bus tickets are reasonable priced. I would suggest this property for girls/guy trips as well as family trips. It great priced and such a nice place. The owner is really helpful.
We are a two minute walk away from the grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants, tourist shops, water sports and much more. We are a 15 minute walk from one of the best beaches on the island for snorkeling. We have both a bus and ferry stop close by for access to other attractions on the island.
