Private 5 Star Luxury
What can you not say about Villa Leli! Its that outstanding.
On the way to the villa, you may find yourself thinking you are in a street/alley system in Rome or Venice. Tall cement walls and gates line the narrow streets with the tops of palm trees reminding you that you are somewhere on an island. As you follow the signs you come across a "random" spot along the road where two bulls graze upon a small patch of grass, and all along the streets are the famous bali dogs...but don't dismay, these are not the mangy pups seen in Ubud or in North Bali. Sanur street dogs are cleaner, full coated, collared, tagged, and quite cute. They are still street dogs so don't get too cozy. You arrive at your private gate where you are greeted by alice, the concierge/private agent, and Wayan, the groundskeeper. They help you bring in your luggage and show you around the property.
After you are settled in you can speak with alice about just about anything to do with Bali tourism. She is your private concierge and can help you book anything from private diving charters, to eating cheap, high quality authentic Balinese food. Rest assured if you want it, Alice can find it.
Wayan is the go-to man for "fixing" just about everything. He constantly has the warmest smile on his face, and speaks wonderful english. His wife Teenie is an incredible cook with an equal million watt smile. Your breakfast options may be limited to "hot or cold", but know that Teenie's pancakes are the best pancakes in all of Indonesia. You will find yourself almost disappointed if you go anywhere else for breaky.
While in Villa Leli's 3 bedroom home, you feel like it is your private home. It is cozy, well-spaced, the L-Couch is so comfortable you may fall asleep resting on it, you have dvds galore, books, internet, air-con, kitchen, and did i mention a private pool! You can sunbathe nude all day and swim nude if you want!
The beach is a only a 10 min leisure walk, maybe 15 or 20 if you are really struggling or stopping into shops and talking with locals. Walking down the narrow canal streets to the main road as a romantic intimacy to it. It is the way to rally connect with the Balinese. Rememer "Tidak Trimacassi" or "Beso Beso" if offered transport. It is the polite way of saying No Thank You or Maybe Later. The main street cannot leave you wanting anything else because its all there. Beachfront restaurants, local warungs, Fine Balinese Lace, cheap market clothes (barg
