This well-maintained ski vacation home in southern VT. was purchased in 2005. Many updates and renovations have been made since then. It now has a cabin-like feel that is warm and inviting. Set peacefully on 12 acres of land on VT route 30, it's a ten minute walk to the center of the unspoiled village of Jamaica, VT. where you will find the general store, a coffee shop, a place to have a nice dinner, and more. It has been a lovely retreat vacation home for our family to meet and gather, ski and enjoy the foliage seasons throughout the years. New England is a beautiful place to enjoy your getaways.
The grad house is a ranch style home with three bedrooms and a full bath. It sleeps six to eight comfortably and features an open concept kitchen, living room and dining room with a cathedral ceiling. It’s a spacious area where all can gather. Enjoy this vacation retreat in Vermont, weather it be Skiing Vermont mountains to hiking trail or just enjoy the foliage season.
We welcome the entire family including pets because we consider our pets part of the family. From a hair dryer to kitchen appliances; from and iron to fresh linens... Everything you need for basic living is already there and available to you.

I purchased this property knowing that it would be great to meet up with my children during ski season. It has been awesome spending Christmas and skiing in Vermont. Skiing Stratton and weekend getaways has been a de-stressor for myself.
Lisa G. purchased this house in 2005
I love this property's location. Its close to many ski resorts and also the green mountain forest. I wanted to spend Christmas in Vermont, Ski Stratton Mountain, and snow mobile. The snowmobile trails and the hiking trails in this area are amazing. The town is quaint and quiet and has an abundant of hiking, walking and running trails.
This ski cabin vacation rental is located minutes away from most ski resorts in Vermont.
Stratton Ski Resort is located just 8 miles away, Bromley Ski Resort is a 15 minute drive. Ski Okemo Mountain, 27 miles,Ski Mount Snow, 20 miles away. We are located to all the ski resorts in Vermont. Ski different mountains each day for a wonderful vacation.
Your home is a perfect cabin for a get together with friends . Perfect distance to Stratton and the Manchester outlets. I have been here a few times to ski and enjoy it every time I come to spend time with friends. Its great to get away from it all.
My family stayed for a week for our family skiing trip. Although looked small from outside, it's actually quite roomy inside. The living room, dining/kitchen area is very spacious and comfortable for up to 8 people. There is a tiny slope beside the house that kids can toboggan on, an outside fire-pit for kids to roast some marshmallows. The furnace in the master bedroom can be really noisy for light sleepers. It didn't bother us much since we usually tired ourselves out after skiing all day long. Stratton and Mount Snow are within 20 minutes drive, this place is perfectly located for skiers like us. Thank you Lisa for everything.
My friends and I had a great time in Vermont this past weekend. This cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It was clean, cozy, adorable, and provided all the needed amenities. There was even a little fireplace and a shelf of movies.
The beds were comfy, even the bunk bed which I slept it. Notably it does creak when moving but that didn't bother me. The walls are pretty thin so that may be something to consider if you are a light sleeper but again I didn't think this was a big deal. The rustic cabin look more than made up for it.
It was very beautiful outside and around the cabin. My friends and I played around in the snow and generally enjoyed the view of the snow covered woods in the back.
Finally this place was super convinient. Close to Stratton mountain, right by the cute little Jamaica town, and right on 30 which goes everywhere we needed to go. Would definitely stay again!
We had a great time and absolutely loved this clean, warm, cozy home! There were only 3 of us but the home could easily handle at least a few more. We were able to cook both nights with all the supplies we needed, and it was a wonderful base for skiing in Stratton. The location is wonderful- a convenient grocery store right down the road. We would definitely return. Our dog loved it as well :)
We were a group of four friends who were skiing at Stratton for a long weekend, and this place served that purpose well. The living space is quite large, so we did not feel cramped while cooking and hanging out, and the drive to Stratton took roughly ten minutes (a bit longer in the snow).
We did have an issue when we arrived, because it was after 10pm on a Wednesday, and the lock box would not open. Apparently it was frozen. This was an issue because there is no cell service at the property. We had to get back in the car and drive several miles down the road in order to contact the management company. Once we were able to get in touch with the management company, they did send someone to meet us and let us into the property. It would have been helpful to know that the lock box not working was a possibility, as trying to get it open in the dark when the temperature was around 10 degrees was extremely frustrating, and the lack of cell service at the property made seeking assistance very difficult.
The other thing I would note about the property is that it is small, and the walls are extremely thin, so there is virtually no privacy. This is not much of an issue if you are a family or a close group of friends, but this place is not ideal for acquaintances looking to share a house.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
I was very pleased with this home! Everything was very clean and cozy. The inside is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. We had a total of 6 adults and fit very comfortably in the living room, kitchen and bedrooms. The full service kitchen, wifi and linens for showers being provided made our stay that much more comfortable. Location was very convenient and made hitting the slopes very easy. The only downside was the furnace in the master bedroom being a little loud and no dishwasher but for the price and all the other great features, I would definitely rent from Lisa again, thank you!
Owner was very easy to work with including prompt return of security deposit. Home was clean, living room and kitchen furniture were comfortable and location was convenient. Accommodations were properly priced to account for location. The only negative was that the furnace was in the master bedroom and when it came on at night it was a bit loud. We had a great weekend - thanks for renting your place to us!
