Stayed here before. Love the view and the house is very nice. Owners, manager and cleaning couple are great. Watch out for falling coconuts in the back yard! Overall great vacation spot. And please make sure to try Havana's on the Beach bar & grill right across the street!
The other reviews on this place have said a lot of pretty accurate things, although we had no problem with rodents or a lack of key access. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much, mostly because the setting is gorgeous, the protected ocean pool down by the lighthouse is really nice to swim in and it is so quiet on the beach we felt it was all ours. The management was responsive email-wise but we received a pretty shabby welcome of a gentleman that did not know much about the house and could barely answer our questions, the place was not very clean (rotten food on counter) and all the outdoor furniture was crammed inside and it was very musty. The bar across the street can be very loud at night and the neighborhood is pretty depressing. Surf is wild but that is to be expected and the sand fleas are pretty ferocious at dusk on the patio. The key situation is pretty ridiculous (10 or fifteen different ones to contend with) and made coming and going complicated. There is plenty of space and lots of wonderful places to hang out for a large group and we all had a good time, so overall we rate it good!
This home was amazing! It was big enough to sleep 10 people comfortably and it had everything we needed for an awesome vacation. The view is incredible, the back porch had a ton of seating, and the two hammocks were heavenly. The amenities such as two bathrooms, washer/dryer and kitchen were everything we needed to feel at home. We had plenty of towels, beach towels and beach lounge chairs.
Jessika was hospitable and very responsive to our needs.
There are two great restaurants down the street and it was close enough to the main highway to be able to travel throughout the country.
We will definitely be going back!
Blue Nest Property is simply amazing! The house is beautifully decorated with lots of room. The back porch overlooks the ocean and was our peaceful retreat morning, noon and night. It is a short walk to the light house and one that is worth it! The kids enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks and the easy beach access that didn't require us to load up the car. The views from the kitchen would make any woman excited about cooking and dishes. We will visit Blue Nest again when in Puerto Rico and would recomend this place to family's or couples that are kid free.
this was the third time I have stayed at blue nest, it's absolutely brilliant, the deck is amazing and really a great "living space" , it's a great house, and great people to deal with.
We traveled for our family vacation with my family of 8( Me my wife and 6 kids ages 2,3,5,6,10,13) and my mother and father in law, so we had a group of 10 total and the stay was very comfortable! When we arrived we were greeted by a couple who were very friendly and showed us around the house and went over all the local attractions and pretty much made us feel welcomed and answered all of our questions. The home looks exactly like the pictures and it's right near the water. The home has a nice floor- plan and the entire front and back yard is enclosed so the kids could easily and safely play outside and my sons had a blast catching iguanas that were outside the enclosed backyard( don't worry they don't bother you at all). The view from the large back patio is breathtaking and the area is quiet and peaceful. There are several local bakeries and mini marts for anything you need that is small or you can go to the Walmart ect in town. There is also a fishing store about a half a mile away that you can get all your gear including snorkel equipment. The beach is great and fun to have right behind the house and we spent hours in the water. You have to be careful with younger children under 5yrs as the waves come in unpredictable ways and so it can be a bit dangerous for younger kids swimming and playing in the surf but we were fine just had to set rules and keep a close eye!). If you walk about 300 yards down the beach there is an amazing cove with crystal clear calm water with tons of fish and plants to explore and we spent a lot of time their as well. You can also drive there if you don't want to walk. The only thing that was a little uncomfortable was the bugs(out side only, not inside), there are mosquitoes( bug spray took care of this no problem) and there were also this other kind of really tiny bug like the size of a pencil tip that would bite your ankles( you don't feel it) its just a few hours later you would itch like it was a mosquito bite. It was really not that big of a deal. Maybe the owner can spray some sort of bug repellent or killer to prevent them from coming on patio. I think it may of been seasonal. I totally recommend this place to everyone, it was an amazing house and very very comfortable, A/C in every room w/ awesome kitchen set up and amenities that you need to have an extended stay and to enjoy the beach. 5 Stars!!!
