Waimea Valley Ohana with Fruit Orchard- Studio, 1 full bathroom, sleeps 2
Thanks again for hosting us at your lovely hideaway at Waimea. Our only complaint is that we didn't stay longer. We had so many things planned that we were either sleeping or doing. Your location was perfect for us, and your hospitality outstanding. The room left nothing to be desired: comfy beds, plenty of outlets, wi-fi, complementary snacks & drinks, etc. It was as nice as we had hoped, and more. Your husband's garden/property tour and stories about the neighborhood added another great personal touch. We'll be back!
We loved staying here. The place was clean and comfortable. Lots of birds singing, and lush plants all around. The owners are lovely people too.
We stayed for 8 nights in early January in both units, which are spacious, very clean, tastefully decorated, and very well equipped. The place is close to the Waimea Canyon, Kekaha beach, and supermarkets. But what makes it truly unforgettable is the Aloha Spirit. Everything there is made with love, and the hosts’ hospitality is genuine. This is a magical place. We were very happy there.
Searching for the perfect hosts, think about Debbie and Tom. Seriously, you can't expect a warmer welcome.
They greet you with a visit of their orchard in the backyard, where bananas, avocados, papayas and other tropical delicacies grow wild. Want a taste of it? Don't worry, a sample of the products waits for you in a basket on your kitchen table and feel free to pick some more if you ran out.
The property is spotless, well equipped (cooking ware, blender, BBQ, beach gear, customary drinks, etc.) and soooooo peaceful. At night, don't hesitate to go stargaze on the patio.
Waimea is a great base to explore the Waimea Canyon, the Koke'e State Park and go all the way to the beach at end of the road (don't hesitate, it's a must do). If you want to do that, consider pay a visit to Debbie and Tom. You won't be disappointed.
We stayed January 10th to January 23rd in the downstairs unit. We had a wonderful time and will do it again. The property is beautiful with fruit growing in the yard which the owners happily share including a tour to learn what is what. Debbie keeps the place beautiful and clean. Tom took the time to take us to a long white beach that he enjoys one evening. A quiet place to relax and a good jumping off point to explore the South and West Island. There is a kitchen inside with most of what you need. No stove top but a grill/ stove top on the lanai is available and works well. The outside sitting area is wonderful.
We stayed for 4 nights as the first part of our 25th anniversary vacation. There really isn't anything you'll want for when you stay here aside from your own preferences in toiletries and of course food items (there are two well stocked markets, post office, shops, etc. about a mile away). The rental is modern, fresh and clean and we had everything we needed to be comfortable and well-equipped. Our few requests were responded to quickly and completely and we were able to focus on our activities we had planned. The rental is shared with two other units, but we had absolutely no problem with noise or privacy (we were on the ground floor). In fact, other than hearing the occasional car arrive or leave, it is as if you are alone. Debbie and Tom are so friendly and gave us great advice on the things we were interested in. We wish we had had more time to sit and talk but we had a pretty ambitious schedule. This property represents excellent value and the other reviews are spot on. Mahalo!
Great place to stay! Debbie and Tom are great hosts and go the extra mile to make your stay special. The studio is very comfortable and clean; it has all the small appliances and dishes you need. Debbie has been very thoughtful in setting things up with little extras that make it a very homey place. And, the supply of fresh fruit from their trees is unending (and delicious!).
Located in the Waimea Valley along the Waimea River on the sunny side of Kauai is peace and tranquility away from the crowds and tourist sites. Come and experience Hawaiian country where horses often graze alongside the road and the majestic song of birds greet the day. Away from distracting city lights, relax on the patio at the end of the day and witness the magical night sky. Waimea maybe small town yet holds its own with plenty of places to dine, a movie theater, grocery stores, ice cream parlor, public library, and yearly events such as Waimea Days in February and the Lighted Christmas Parade in December. It is the gateway to Waimea Canyon, “Grand Canyon of the Pacific”, and Koke’e National Park with numerous hiking opportunities.
