About Chad and Candice Roberts
Ragged Edge is owned by the Roberts family. Chad is a Bahamian born and bred native. He met his wife, Candice, when they were in their teens during a family cruise. The two were married in 1999 and blessed with a beautiful daughter in 2004. The family currently resides in New Kent, VA.
Chad and Candice Roberts purchased this house in 2008
Why Chad and Candice Roberts chose Nassau & Paradise Island
After our daughter was born we decided it was time to upgrade so we spent the next few years designing our dream home. Just as the plans were being sent out for bid, some friends of ours told us that we should go and take a look at this oceanfront home that has just dropped its asking price. Candice saw it once and it was our dream home already completed and on the water. We closed on it a few months later and have enjoyed every minute of it since.
What makes this house unique
From almost every room in Ragged Edge you can see the ocean.
Guestbook comments from the owner
A trip to Lake Travis (Austin, Tx) last year using HomeAway was a disaster!!! Imagine how excited we all were to see that your house is exactly like the online profile!!!
We had an awesome time!!!!! We went to Blue Lagoon island and swam with the dolphins. We went on a snorkeling trip and swam with sharks. We spent a day at the water park at Atlantis. We spent a day at cabbage beach. We had dinner at the Poop Deck the first night we were there and the weather and cuisine were very nice. My husband and son both got the red snapper and they didn't share. We went to Italian Dolce and met the owner. She was talking about how she does pizza on Sat. nights and we told her we'd be gone by then so she made them for us on Fri. night! And they were awesome) Last but not least, we had an awesome, delicious, and intimate dinner-all 6 of us- at Cafe Matisse. We were there for 2 1/2 hours as they were sooo busy. We met Greg and he actually bought a round after dinner because he said we had put up with a lot that night. We didn't really. Friday was the only day the ocean was calm. Several of us went snorkeling out back and it was awesome. We saw star fish, a few sting rays, and lots of cool fish. We all went swimming last Sat. and the people who stayed next door thought we were crazy. The water was very rough but we are all very good swimmers and had fun. Swam down to the beach.
Anyway, enough about what we did. We were all so happy the house was so awesome. It is in a quiet area and the day we went to Atlantis we were very aware of how much we enjoyed the quiet at your house. Your reference book was very helpful as we obviously followed much of the advice. We would be talking about where to go and my husband said "Well let's go somewhere in the book. It hasn't steered us wrong yet." Thank-you again for an awesome house that was exactly as it was pictured and had everything we could have possibly needed.
