THE LOCATION...

Imagine your vacation home being just steps in either direction from all of the shops, restaurants, and sites of Duval Street and the Historic Seaport. Take a stroll or ride your bike down to the best of Key West, three blocks down Olivia St to hit local favorites like Croissants de France, Martins, and Nine-One-Five. Just a few blocks down Windsor Lane and you'll be at BO's Fish Wagon or Schooner Wharf.

THE LIVING AREA AND KITCHEN...

THE SMILING IBIS welcomes you with bright, tropical colors, tall ceilings, and luxurious modern furnishings. Floor to ceiling windows allow natural light to pour into the first floor all day. The living area boasts a gigantic 60-inch flat screen Smart HDTV, which you can watch from the comfort of the plush living room furniture or the kitchen/dining areas thanks to the open living plan of the first floor. The kitchen is fully equipped with state of the art appliances and all of the tools and utensils you will need to prepare a meal at home when taking a break from the decadent restaurant options of Key West. There is also a wet bar complete with the full bar set up for happy hour your way. The dining area has seating for 6, with 3 additional seats at the kitchen bar.

THE PRIVATE SALTWATER POOL...

Through the sliding glass doors of the living area is one of the highlights of this home: the private pool area. Fully fenced for privacy and surrounded by lush tropical greenery, this will undoubtedly be a primary gathering place for your group. The comfortable chaise lounges can be pulled into the sun or the shade, and they sit right beside the heat-optional saltwater pool that is great for a dip on a hot day. A full outdoor dining set can comfortably sit 6. The backyard is complete with a large propane grill for an outdoor BBQ by the pool.

The most unpleasant experience in my rental history

I just had the most unpleasant rental experience in my life, and I've rented at least 15 luxury rental homes in the past 6 years. Hard to put the experience into words: I asked for an 1 hour extension as I had to jump on a work call, so I couldn't get to Danny's(the property managers) reply saying we can't. A couple of minutes before 10 am, the time we were supposed to check out by, Danny comes into the house screaming at us in the most unpleasant way imaginable kicking us out(I was just wrapping up the work call). He was treating us like total s***, giving the feeling that he had no incentive to be pleasant to us now that he got our money. Danny was even screaming at my 60 year old parents - we all felt threatened and in danger, and I'm not saying that lightly(even considering a lawsuit for the first time in my life). I was trying to calm Danny down to explain that we are packing and getting out immediately, but we couldn't even get the time to hurry with the terror we we experiencing. Seemed like he couldn't control himself. We left at 10:20(20 minutes late). I understand that we might have caused an inconvenience, but it was miles from warranting the reaction we got. I seriously warn anyone dealing with Danny to be careful and avoid dealing with Last Key altogether for this reason. There's simply no need to risk an experience like the one we had, which casted a dark cloud over our entire vacation. Especially, after paying the amount they charge.

Family Adventure

Smiling Ibris was ideal for our family of 7. This is a great townhouse and very conducive to a guests who enjoy cooking/eating in and relaxing around the pool. Market is on the corner, liquor store is just a couple of blocks away and Faustos Food Palace is an easy walk. We had a few issues that Danny took care of for us. We'd return.
