Comfortable 2 bed, right in the heart of London. Situated in a quiet street just south of Victoria Station, this would be a top choice both this would be a top choice both for couples/families on a city break or for corporate guests on short or long stays.
The location of this property is fantastic, right in the heart of London in Victoria. You can walk to many of London's major attractions, including Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament and ‘Big Ben’, Tate Britain, Belgravia and Sloane Square.
The apartment is in a quiet street in a lively part of Victoria, above a trendy gelato shop and just a few yards from a cheese shop and a Tesco Metro. One of the largest Sainsbury's supermarkets in central London, as well as Tachbrook Street farmers market is also just 3 minutes away. Within 200 metres or so, there are 4 nice pubs to enjoy an evening drink or a bite to eat. There are also numerous good quality restaurants (Italian, French, English, Turkish, Chinese, Brazilian, Cypriot, Thai, Indian, Mexican) and breakfast/ lunch deli shops close by, for all budgets and tastes.
A fitness and sports gym with a 25m swimming pool (as well as a separate leisure and teaching pools), squash courts and other facilities is within 100 meters. Short term memberships are available for 1, 5, 7, 14 or 30 days.
For transport you are within 5-minute walk of Victoria, one of the city’s biggest and best connected tube, train, bus and coach stations. From here you can hop one stop on the District or Circle lines to Sloane Square for Chelsea’s boutique shops and trendy bars (the King’s Road runs right off Sloane Square), or two stops to South Kensington for the Museums.
The Cardinal Place shopping centre on Victoria Street is within walking distance or you could head to nearby Knightsbridge for famous department stores Harrods and Harvey Nichols or Mayfair for many other designer shops. You can be at Bond Street or Oxford Street for the great selection of shops in only 5 minutes too!
If you'd like to catch a show, the theatres of Victoria are just a 5-minute walk from the apartment or you can reach Leicester Square for the West End from Victoria tube station in 12 minutes.
A few Barclays Cycle Scheme Stations for short term bicycle rental are also around the corner.
Corporate guests may also be strongly attracted to this apartment due to its central and lively location with quick and easy connections to the City and to Canary Wharf, which are very quiet areas during weekends and evenings. Airport connections are also good from Victoria.
Enter this period building and you will find the apartment on the first floor above the Chocodeli. The living space at the front of the house has wooden floors and white walls, a large grey sofa beside the fireplace and a stylish green velvet armchair. The huge sash windows let in lots of natural light and there’s also a wooden dresser with modern red lamps. For entertainment, there is a flatscreen TV, a DVD player, a radio/CD system and WiFi internet.
At the far end of the room is the dining table and chairs – a lovely area for an evening meal. The separate kitchen is well-equipped with fitted cupboards, a modern hob and oven, a fridge, a freezer, toaster, kettle, dishwasher and washing machine.
The master bedroom is at the back of the apartment and has a double bed with an interesting bedframe, bedside table, large fitted wardrobes and an orange armchair. There's a large sash window and a unique desk in this room for paperwork if you're travelling with work - or it could be used as a dressing table. The second bedroom is also a double room with a wooden bedframe, a sash window and built-in cupboards offering plenty of space for storage. The bathroom in this property has white tiling, a shower attachment over the bath tub, sink, loo, towel rail and large mirrored cupboard.
Please note that there is a flight of stairs from the building door up to the front door of the apartment on the first floor.
It was very easy booking with Vive Unique and the communication before and during our stay was excellent. We thought the apartment was even better in real life than on the web. The kitchen utilities are very good quality. The apartment gets a lot of sun in the mornings which is nice. The Vive Unique team were very professional. We would recommend the apartment for families, couples and business travellers. We will definitely come back to book with Vive Unique.
Westminster is a well-to-do, historical area with many prestigious landmarks and visitor attractions. It provides a wide choice of parks and open spaces such as St. James Park and Green Park, as well as political London icons 10 Downing Street and the Houses of Parliament. The Palace of Westminster, ‘Big Ben’, Buckingham Palace - home to the Queen of England - and Westminster Abbey where Kate Middleton and Prince William were married, are all in this beautiful area. Parliament Square, with its lawn and statues of past statesmen, is a popular tourist spot and a space from which you can see some of the most iconic architecture of the Capital.
Families will enjoy this area, with many luxurious modern developments nestled amongst the traditional period homes which provide plenty of space. Take a walk along the Victoria Embankment which has some brilliant views of the city’s skyline, and if you head to the Southwest, the area of Victoria has many restaurants, bars and shops to explore, particularly in Cardinal Place. One eatery of note is in the Old Westminster Library which dates back to 1893 and was transformed into an upmarket Indian restaurant in 2001: The Cinnamon Club.
