This elegant 2 bed apartment is situated in the heart of Chelsea, within walking distance to a number of first class restaurants, and close to the famous King's Road with its designer shops and trendy bars. This is an excellent choice for four people looking for a taste of luxury on their London stay.
On entering the property you'll be struck by the grand open-plan living area. The original fireplace, numerous paintings and pieces of antique furniture give the room a cosy, yet regal feel. For evenings the fireplace really adds that romantic element, as do the many shelved books for the inquisitive reader. There is also TV with Sky satellite channels to relax with. The dining room is complete with an antique dining table and seating for four.
The bright kitchen comes with all modern conveniences, including an oven, fridge/freezer, hob, dishwasher and microwave. The large French windows allow for plenty of natural light and there is lots of surface space. Outside the ample courtyard is a real bonus; there is a beautiful rustic stone bench and a large table and built-in seating for al-fresco summer dining, with cushions for your comfort. The sun wonderfully illuminates this space, a rare treat in the heart of London.
On the floor above, there is a large master bedroom. There are a number of charming, paintings and a beautiful antique dresser. The en suite bathroom boasts high ceilings and large windows with views of the garden. There is a large bath tub (with shower attachment above) a sink, a bidet and a loo.
The second double room has views of the garden. The antique, oak bed (small double bed) is a unique piece of furniture. Next door the shower room has a sink, w/c and walk-in shower.
You can easily walk to the River Thames, the King's Road and the Museums of South Kensington from this apartment. You're also walking distance to numerous first-class restaurants including Cambio de Tercio and Rocco. It is only a 5 minute walk to West Brompton station where you can join the District or the Overground tube line. From here you can be at South Kensington for the Museums in 6 minutes, at Oxford Street for shopping in 20 minutes or Leicester Square if you're heading to a show in the West End, in around 20 minutes as well. Alternatively, Earls Court (for connections on both the Piccadilly and District lines) is only a 5 minute walk.
You could also walk to Fulham Broadway tube station (10 mins) which is on the District line or Earl's Court for the District and Piccadilly (13 mins). Here you'll find a shopping mall with supermarkets, restaurants and a cinema.
Chelsea is an upmarket neighbourhood equivalent to that of New York's Upper East Side or the 16th arrondissement of Paris, with stylish and unique homes to match. It is a wealthy area of London that overlooks the River Thames from Chelsea Bridge near Battersea, right along the Chelsea Embankment to Chelsea Harbour, a perfect spot for a romantic evening with its many restaurants and bars.
The most famous street in the area is the King’s Road, which takes its name from the time it was Charles II’s private thoroughfare, and is one of the Capital’s most popular streets with a good variety of shops and cafes to explore. At the North East end, you’ll find Sloane Square which also has many high end shops, such as Tiffany & Co. and Hugo Boss as well as the impressive Saatchi Gallery at the Duke of York’s Square. The King’s Road is home to many fine dining restaurants, including Gordon Ramsay, Hache, Tom’s Kitchen and The Bluebird, which is often noted as the place to be seen in Chelsea.
This area oozes elegance and a luxury lifestyle, and would be a recommended choice for both families and couples looking for a highly memorable city break.
