We first arrived in Star Valley in 1983 and fell in love. Our thirst for everything Wyoming and the great outdoors still keeps us in constant awe of the
this beautiful place. We raised our three children here in the valley and they too are hooked on outdoor activities. The Ponderosa was constructed by our family and we all had a part in the construction. We still get together here often.
Our family has always been involved in livestock, horses, cows, pigs, to name a few and the Ponderosa's location and property was ideally situated for this ranching, fishing, snowmobiling, and full on Wyoming lifestyle.
The river brings such a tremendous amount of wildlife to us. Big birds of prey like Bald eagles, Red Tail hawks, and Ospreys are a daily sight. Trumpeter swans, Sand hill cranes, and ducks of all shapes and sizes are constantly close to the water. There is a healthy herd of Whitetail deer down in the willows as well. Quiet, quiet, and quiet at night. We have more stars than any place on the planet.
