This is an artistically furnished 2 bedroom, 1 bath huge Loft (2800sf!) with 20 foot ceilings. Master bedroom with walk in closets, queen bed in both bedrooms. Sleeps 6 maximum. Full kitchen (stove but no oven) with microwave.
Unique, very fun and funky space, tastefully decorated by an artist. Very private - you have your own entrance directly from the street. Cable with huge flat screen TV, wireless internet, a/c and plenty of room to roam. Owner lives in building, can help with any issues you have or leave you be, your choice.
The entire space is very clean with thoughtful, comfortable and creative decor, however this was once a commercial loft space, it is not new, so there are flaws and foibles. We think this adds to the charm, but if you are looking for pristine, this may not be for you. If you are looking for space, character and a unique NYC experience in an great location, you will be very happy.
Rates generally range from $1900-$2500 week or approximately $350 day. Rates depend on number of people, time of year and length of stay. $100 cleaning fee.
Long Island City is the very convenient, new, upscale neighborhood outside of Manhattan in Queens. This building is one of the older ones on a charming townhouse street, surrounded by the many luxury high rises that now make up the 'hood.
There are lots of great restaurants, cafes and bars here in Long Island City, a large gourmet grocer, and a gorgeous new and modern waterfront pier and park one block away. The views from this Gantry State Park are the best you will find of NYC. Our guests love coming home to this relaxing and stunning spot.
There is also a fabulous yoga studio and 2 spinning studios nearby. Numerous famous art museums and studios. Plenty to do here in Long Island City.
However, Manhattan is why people visit, and this loft is VERY conveniently located to get to Manhattan. It is a two block walk to the 7 train, one stop (5 minutes exactly) to Grand Central. 3 stops (8 minutes) to Times Square. This neighborhood is more convenient to get around Manhattan than many Manhattan neighborhoods, where the walk to the subway can be substantial. The 7 train is a frequent, reliable train, voted the best in the city. Uptown, downtown and across town subways are ALL very easily accessible from here.
Manhattanites are moving here in droves for more space, less noise and the unsurpassed views without sacrificing convenience. Give this a try!
