Elegantly Furnished, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Toilets, 3 Shower/Bathrooms

An elegant, brick built, English family home with leaded windows located in an attractive but quiet street. With four well-equipped, carpeted bedrooms, sleeping up to 11. The 'Green' bedroom with double bed has an ensuite shower cabin and basin, the large 'Yellow ' bedroom has a double bed and can also fit a cot plus one optional child's bed. or two optional childs beds. The 'Blue' bedroom has two single beds plus an optional child's bed and the Bunk Room has two full size single mattresses.

For maximum occupancy of 15, there are two single chair beds in the Dining room and a double sofa bed in the Lounge

On the first floor, there is a large family bathroom with shower over the tub, wash basin and toilet. Downstairs there is a separate toilet with hand wash basin plus another shower cabin and wash basin in the Utility Room.

A wooden babies cot with bedding, high chair, stair gate and changing mat are available on request.

The large lounge has comfortable leather sofas and armchairs, flat screen TV, DVD and video player whilst the large dining room has sliding doors onto the terrace overlooking the secluded rear garden. Well equipped modern kitchen with oven/grill, dishwasher, two fridges, microwave etc. Utility Room with shower cabin and wash basin plus freezer, washing machine & tumble drier.

If the weather is mild, the rear garden has sun loungers, tables, chairs and a parasol plus a large barbeque for summer use.. There is a child's play house and toys/games for all ages.

The house is easy walking distance to local supermarkets, shops, pubs and restaurants. Located on several red London bus routes with the bus stop just 150 metres away. Walking distance to two Central Line subway (tube) stations for shopping and restaurants in the Olympic Park (11 minutes) and London's West End (30 minutes) or City (20 minutes).

Jo, Elaine & Phil purchased this house in 1999

My sister Elaine & I now own the property which was my parents home until recently. We have extensively refurbished, redecorated and refitted the property to accommodate up to 15 guests with a high level of comfort and facilities including quality bedding, linens and towels.

The house is set in one of the best streets in the area where it is quiet and has nice neighbors but very close to all local amenities. There is a large supermarket just 300 metres away on the next block opposite the park with a children's playground. A five minute walk takes you to the local High Street with many shops, banks, restaurants and leisure facilities including swimming, tennis and a gym. The bus stop is just 150 metres and the house is also in easy walking distance to two Central Line tube stations. It is just an 11 minute journey to Stratford where you will find Europe's largest shopping mall and 30 minutes into the center for all of London's attractions, museums, shopping, theaters and restaurants.

AWESOME HOSPITALITY!

The owners go above and beyond in terms of hospitality. We found a lovely welcome card alongside some basic breakfast items for our first morning upon arrival, and realizing we were arriving at 2am, they even pulled out the beds for us, made the beds, and even put two large and fluffy teddy bears on the kids' beds for us. The owner even received us in person at 2am.

Our group of 11 adults and a family of four (2 young children) was well-accommodated; there were enough toilets and showers to be comfortable, and the living room was even large enough to fit our entire group of 21 people for daytime meetings. (and there was enough tea, coffee, and tea cups and cutlery and plates to accommodate all of us!)

From the matching soaps and hand towels to the beautiful backyard and patio chairs, to the few childrens' books and random toys, (very useful for a family travelling and packing simply), to the clean interior and exterior, 10 Hatley is truly a very lovely place to stay in London.

Note: the owner Phil found one of our missing scarves and even mailed it back to us after we were gone!

Having someone set up such a wonderful living space for us allowed us to focus on what we came for: seeing the city and finishing up meetings.

FANTASTIC HOME-AWAY-FROM HOME IN LONDON!

We stayed at 10 Hatley with friends for a vacation in London and could not have chosen a better home. The owners were very helpful from arranging transport from the airport, stocking the kitchen with basics (bread, fruit,coffee, juice, cereal, cookies) and providing us with loads of helpful information on London and the neighborhood. Our flight arrived before the check-in time and they graciously allowed us to drop our bags off at the house early. They truly could not have been more helpful or accommodating. We have stayed in many holiday rental properties in Europe and in the US and this one tops the list! Thanks Phillip, Jo and Elaine.

HOME SWEET HOME:)

This beautiful home was everything we hoped for in our vacation rental search! We found this East London family home very welcoming. Upon arrival we were greeted with all sorts of foods, A very nice card, Christmas gifts, and a beautiful heart shaped chalk board welcoming our group to the home. The home owners were very helpful, patient, and flexible in regard to our questions as the number of our group members kept changing. The location was good, there were a few times when we needed groceries and it was convenient to have a Cosco Market only one block away. Only a 10 min walk to the Train station, and a 20 min ride to Central London. We had a group of 13 and I can assure you that any of us would recommend this property. With three showers available, we were always ready on time to get out and explore London!! A huge thanks to Jo and Phil for letting us stay in this beautiful and unique family home.

A GREAT FIND

Everything about this house is exactly as promised on the website.
The overall feel of the home is pleasant, with comfortable leather furniture in the living room. The kitchen is well equipped with cookware, dishes, cutlery etc.
The bedrooms are bright and fresh and we were particularly impressed with the bed linens and towels. All first class quality.
The bathrooms and showers are up to date and efficient. Also there is a good supply of hot water... Important when you have been out sight-seeing all day and are looking forward to a refreshing shower.
In fact the entire property is very clean and well maintained.

Jo and Philip are gracious and pleasant hosts. They were always readily available to answer our questions.
The breakfast groceries supplied to start us off was a nice very
touch.
The location is perfect with supermarket, shopping, buses, andUnderground/Subway system just minutes away to take us into downtown London.

We feel lucky to have found this accommodation and it exceeded our expectations in many ways. We would not hesitate to recommend it.

We look forward to another visit in the future.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BEAUTIFUL HOUSE!

1.The house was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The owner has put a lot of thought into the fine details, such as the stylish matching crockery, and he even provided chopsticks for us. Coming back to the house after a busy day’s sightseeing, we felt we could relax as if we were in our own home. A large supermarket very close to the house made it easy for us to get fresh, cheap food. We stayed 11 nights but would like to come back again for longer. (Itsu)

2. I wholeheartedly recommend this house for a long-term stay in London.

We felt so at home in this British house. The large living room and dining room and fully-equipped kitchen made our stay comfortable and the proximity of a large supermarket meant we could cook for ourselves and relax at home instead of eating out all the time. On the day we arrived we were delighted to find the owner had prepared a welcome basket of food and drink. The owner lives nearby and any time we had questions he would come straight over and help us. Gants Hill Tube station is just 15 minutes away on foot, and there are also regular buses. A huge shopping mall is just 5 stations away on the Tube at Stratford. I highly recommend this house. The owner took great care of us and I don’t think we could have found a better place to stay. 3. This is a regular fully-furnished British house in an uptown quiet residential area. I felt completely at home here. We could enjoy meals in the back garden, watching squirrels run about and looking at the beautiful flowers in bloom. We could find everything we needed at the large supermarket which is in walking distance. A Tube station is also nearby, making it very convenient. I would like to come back here every summer to enjoy the museums of London. The owner was there to meet and greet us on our arrival, with food and drink in the fridge and beautiful flowers in every room. Such great hospitality! (Kat)

4. I highly recommend this house!
Everything about the house was in good taste, from the exterior to the large back garden (with its delicious fresh tomatoes), to the indoor furnishings, and the fully-equipped kitchen and utility room. This is the kind of house I have always longed to stay in, and the owner’s kindness and hospitality made our 2 weeks here comfortable and relaxing. I hope to come back here again! (Michi)

This part of North East London borders on the county of Essex which has plenty of open spaces including Epping Forest, given to the people by Queen Victoria. There are many sport & leisure facilities available including swimming, golf, tennis, fishing, sailing and climbing. At weekends you can stroll to the top of the road and watch a game of cricket being played in the local park in the summer or soccer in the winter and there is also a childrens playground area with swings and slides etc.

The Olympic Park at Stratford is an 11 minute subway journey where you will find Europe's largest shopping mall. Another 20 minutes will take you to the West End of London where you can enjoy the best Theater, Musicals, Concerts, Restaurants and Shopping.
