With a setting high above the Arctic Circle, the guaranteed snow throughout the skiing season makes for a perfect winter holiday. Yllas has that special combination of peace and tranquility, yet all the winter activities you would expect from snow boarding to husky sledging and of course beginners and advanced skiing facilities. However, Aurora offers year round pleasures, as each new season arrives they each bring their own delights. In the long summer days warm temperatures mean walking, fishing, hiking, cycling and canoeing are a pleasure. As the seasons change the magnificent Northern Lights become visible and of course Santa Claus awaits children in his home just a short walk from the cabin. At the centre of this experience, Log cabin Aurora has been designed and finished to make your stay special. A home from home you will want to come back to whichever season you choose.

As is usual in Scandinavian countries, the cabin is very well insulated so you can be sure of a warm welcome whenever you choose to visit. Children will love the cabin, especially the loft area!
Akaslompolo is a traditional Lappish village with warm friendly people and a charm of it's own. In winter you can ski on uncrowded slopes or enjoy snowmobile trips, husky rides or why not visit the real Father Christmas in his cabin in the forest. The Northern Lights are a spectacular sight that you may be lucky enough to experience. During the warm summer months you can enjoy walking, fishing, canoeing, mountain biking or just take in the clean air.
