|Minimum Stay||1 - 7 nights|
Perched atop a cliff at the edge of the Caribbean Sea is Scotch on the Rocks, an endearing turquoise villa just minutes from the heart of Ocho Rios. Although the villa sits upon a rock, all of the private ocean swimming areas have cozy, shallow, sandy bottoms—perfect for children. Cool off in the shade of the white gazebo at the end of the dock, with nothing to look at but miles of ocean waters and tiny windsurfers in the distance.
Stone steps lead from the main house down a slope to a private cove and a fabulous crystal clear bay. Kayaks and snorkeling gear are included. Or you might opt for a quick dip in the swimming pool. Wi-Fi is available on the main floor. Full staff is provided. If you feel like spending your day outdoors, the staff will gladly set up seats on the seaside deck and bring out your lunch.
The decor at Scotch on the Rocks features Victorian fretwork and warm mahogany floors that add classic charm, while Italian travertine reflects the recent renovations. The interior design is a tasteful, yet eclectic mix of high tech amenities and Jamaican/English antiques. The comfy verandah overlooking the vast sea is the ideal setting to share a laugh.
The five stately bedrooms at “Scotchie” accommodate up to ten guests. Dark wooden accents add warmth to the pristine, plush furniture. Each bedroom includes en-suite bathroom, TV with DVD player and air conditioning. The calm sea views are simply breathtaking.
The grounds at Scotch on the Rocks feature lush tropical gardens where bougainvillea and orchids are often in bloom. Built by the Scottish Lord, The Earl of Mansfield, the property currently belongs to members of the Red Stripe Beer family. Whether you decide to go for a day trip to nearby Dunn’s River Falls or the infamous James Bond Beach, you will surely enjoy the feeling of returning home to unwind in this unique piece of Jamaican history.

Wow what a great time we had ,travelling with our adult children to Ocho Rios and scotch on the rocks. Staff at the villa were wonderful , Brian organised anything we needed , Cherry cooked wonderful meals; you don't need to go out. Everything was perfect even the weather.I would highly recommend staying here.
My wife and I are seasoned world travelers and have had the good fortune of staying at some of the worlds top resorts, hotels and villas. That said, Scotch on the Rocks was by far the best property we have ever visited. The property itself was stately and elegant. Everything was well maintained and spotless. The true magic of the property, however, was the staff. They treated us like we were family and they did everything in their power to enrich the vacation experience our entire family. Scotch on the Rocks is a beautiful place to experience Jamaica. The people, the culture, the music and the natural beauty of Jamaica are what make it the heartbeat of the Caribbean.
The accomodations, service, food, and setting provided the ultimate family vacation!
Every day we were wowed, enjoying Cherry's creative, delicious local cuisine (with Tracy's help), without the need to go to a restaurant. We received excellent guidance to help plan meals and shopping with the flexibility to shop ourselves (bring Elvis because he is a wonderful resource) or Elvis was happy to go for us. At least one shopping visit is recommended, otherwise one might not leave Scotchie until departure time.
Bryan has a wonerful selection of cocktails and is a fantastic resource for special outings.
Pat made sure we were always comfortable and rooms kept immaculate.
Richard ensured our outside surroundings were beautiful.
We went as a group of nine then gained an extended family from Scotch on the Rocks.
The warmth, kindness, generosity, and knowledge of everyone on-site gave us the ultimate family holiday, while also bringing us closer to the local culture.
On the evening of our first day at Scotch on the Rocks, my family commented how pleased we were with the villa, the food, and the service provided by the staff. Bryan, the waiter, smiled and said, "It gets better." And he was so right. We had a wonderful time at Scotchie and wished we could have stayed longer. When we arrived, we were greeted with the warm smiles of Pauline, Elvis, Bryan, Cherry, and Henry. They took great care of us and treated us like family. The villa had everything that made our stay enjoyable. The meals were the most delicious we ever tasted. Every dish was a treat! We spend our days swimming in the pool, snorkling in the ocean below, and kayaking. When my husband mentioned that he’d like to do some fishing, the staff arranged a fishing trip and he caught a huge tuna, which Cherry grilled for us the next evening. Our stay had many other memorable moments, all made possible by the kind and considerate staff. We loved Scotchie cannot wait to visit again next year
