Overview

Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday home in Giudecca - Secret Venetian House

2 Floors, 7 Rooms, 8 Beds in 3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms and Big Beautiful Garden

*Perfect location during Fall and Winter season*

The House is in the fascinating island of Giudecca.San Marco square is at 12 (website hidden) fits properly 8 people.Perfect for friends or families. The neighorhood is composed by old rich venetians and young artists´ studiums. The garden is a piece of beauty.

The Space:

This place is a secret private house in the center of Giudecca, between Palazzo Stucky (Hilton Hotel) and Harry's Dolci Restaurant.

From Giudecca Palanca boat stop (boat service every ten minutes, 24h/24h), turn right, cross Ponte di Sant'Eufemia, get inside of a typical venetian palace, cross the huge entrance hall, reach the first garden with the big Magnolia tree, at the end the garden there is a little and hidden door between palmas and roses. That door opens Secret Venetian House. Cross the private garden smelling roses, jasmines, flowers, spice plants. No noises, no people, just perfumes and relax.

The house is beautiful, with sculptures and original paintings of venetian artists: Fireplace in the living room, tv, music, three sofas, paintings, one amazing double bedroom at the second floor with private bathroom, one double bedroom (guests bedroom) and one quadruple bedroom (kids bedroom) at the first floor in the night area of the house with their own bathroom.

Possibility to eat in the table inside of the house or under the gazebo in the garden.

Enjoy the garden in Venice, specially in the morning with a typical italian breakfast. It will be a rare beautiful experience.

Guest Access:

You will have access to the whole house and the whole garden. No limits or restrictions are provided.

What you see is what you get!

The house will be cleaned by a cleaning team before your arrival and after your departure.

A cleaner lady is available daily on request.

I will be available for every questions before and after your stay.

I will constatly reachable by phone for the whole period of your stay.

Neighborhood's Overview:

very silent, very artistic and very bohemian style place. It is incredible that every places in Venice Center is reachable in max 15 mins!

Supermarket Coop (9 - 19) and Original very old Fishermen Fish shop (phone number hidden)) are in Fondamenta of Giudecca, 3 minutes by walk.

Very Good restaurants and pizzeria are available in 5 minutes by walk. I personally reccomand the Pizzeria Do Mori, The Hilton Restaurant and the Very Glamour Italian Restaurant from Cipriani: Harry's Dolci (my favourite!).

SkyLine Hilton Luxury Top Bar on the Top of the Molino Stucky Palace at 3 minutes by walk could be a great option to have a drink viewing Venice from the highest point of the city.

San Giorgio island and its beautiful expositions in Fondazione Cini of Art and Architecture are reachable by walk or by ferry in few minutes.

San Marco Square reachable in 8 minutes by Ferry from Palanca Ferry Stop to San Zaccaria Ferry Stop (numbers 4.2 or 2).

Santa Lucia Train Station reachable in 15/20 minutes by Ferry from Palanca Ferry Stop to Santa Lucia Train Station Ferry Stop (numbers 2 or 4.1).

Tronchetto Parking Area or Piazzale Roma Parking Area reachable in 15 minutes by Ferry from Palanca Ferry Stop to Tronchetto Ferry Stop or Piazzale Roma Ferry Stop (numbers 2 or 4.1).

About Ciro Daragiati

I am a Aerospace Engineer working and traveling almost everywhere in the world but always happy to come back to my real own city: Venice!

Ciro Daragiati purchased this house in 1950

Why Ciro Daragiati chose Giudecca

I recommend Giudecca because it is the real Venice, with not tourists and just few minutes far from everywhere in in the City.

I recommend my place in Giudecca because it is the most relaxing and beautiful place in the city.

What makes this house unique

There is nothing comparable with this house. It has been published in several magazines concerning gardens and houses in Europe.

You will enjoy a breakfast in the garden having relax smelling parfums for plants and flowers.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Lovely house with a beautiful garden. We spent three unforgetable days with our adult children. We choose to have lunch in restaurants while visiting Venice, Murano and Burano. All these locations were easy to reach by the normal busboats. We enjoyed the calm breakfasts and evening dinners at home in the garden and enjoyed the very tastefully decorated house far away from the crowds. Lovely experience on a lovely quite island. A stroll over the island after dinner is a must if you stay there. Walking along the water in the evening one has a very beautiful view of Venice. What a luxury to have all this space in such a busy touristic place as Venice. It felt very much at home away from home. The bottle of Prosecco and the big fruitplatter which our host had ready for us as a welcome surprise were highly appreciated. I hope we will have the opportunity to stay in this lovely house on another occasion in future.

wonderful home, removed from tourism

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I accompanied her family on a trip to Europe that began in Venice (we then Cruised to Greece). I had been to Venice before and stayed in a home on Lido and suggested that we do something similar. I immediately fell in love with Ciro's villa. Working with Ciro via email was easy and being greeted at the villa by Ciro's mother was great. She appreciated that I spoke Italian and gave us some great tips on where to eat in Giudecca. The house provides everything one would need with the bonus of an beautiful outdoor space. The one complaint that we had was one from my Father-in-law about no screens on the windows. He couldn't wrap his head around why there weren't any, but he was really the only person bothered. A few of us were bitten by mosquitoes but no one else cared. I will definitely recommend this villa to friends and family who need similar housing while on vacation. Molte grazie, Ciro, per un buon soggiorno!

Wonderful house, gorgeous location. Satisfied!

  • 5 of 5

This is the perfect place to stay. The house is wide, well furnished, comfortable and well connected with all the main tourist stops. The indoor is spacious and cozy as well as the garden outside. I wish we could come back soon, Venice is breathtaking too

un angolo di paradiso

  • 4 of 5

Amazing stay in Venice

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful house in a beautiful city! This is definitely the best place to stay in Venice, especially if you are a large family or a group of friends. Its 2 double-bedrooms + 1 bedroom with 2 bunkle beds allow each guest to have his privacy. The kitchen is separated from the living-room, which is always a good thing! In the living room there are two couches in front of a magnificient huge fireplace. Not something you usually get in your vacation-home! If you are lucky enough to visit the city during the Spring/Summer/Autumn, you can enjoy its "secret" garden: a green paradise where you can lay down and enjoy a glass of wine! This house, made of red bricks and lighten by large windows, might easily be better than your own house, and considering the fact that it's located in one of the most beautiful city in the world, well that just makes it perfect!

Lovely house and the same as the pictures

  • 5 of 5

Lovely place, kind hosts, amazing house and good position. I spent 6 days in this house with 3 friends, we were two couples with two bathrooms and two double rooms, there were perfect! It's easy go to the Center city and also go to the train station. I love Venice and this house too, especially for the garden! I'll come back
