3 Bedroom, 2 Bath Home Walking Distance To The Grove!

We are a 100% non-smoking property inside and out (including balconies and yards). If anyone in your group smokes, we are not the right property for you.

We require a 5 night minimum for stays booked more than 30 days in advance with exceptions (see notes on rate page for exceptions).

Please note, rates are based on occupancy of 6. For occupancy over 6 (adults or children), there is a $25 per person, per night charge.

This spacious 1600 square foot apartment is the lower unit of a small historic 1936 apartment building just a few blocks west of The Grove shopping center and the Original Farmer's Market.

The upper unit is the same layout and is also available for rentals. Please feel free to inquire even if the lower unit is booked.

The area is a designated historic district and our building maintains all the beauty and history of the neighborhood while boasting all the comforts of modern living.

Hardwood floors throughout the unit give warmth and the feeling of home to the unit. Double paned windows with low-e glass provide both conservation of energy and even more quiet inside from our quiet outside neighborhood.

The unit has been newly renovated and includes a brand new kitchen, central heat & air, and is immaculately clean. A sweet front yard gives you some private greenery all your own and there is even a lemon tree shared by the other 2 tenants in the building.

2 bedrooms feature large eastern king size beds and the 3rd bedroom features 2 double beds. Each bed has crisp white linens, accent colored warm blankets and a quilt for those cooler nights. There is plenty of closet space for travelers as well and flat screen televisions in each bedroom. Both blinds and curtains in the bedrooms allow travelers to choose the amount of light they want to wake up to. Each bedroom also has an overhead ceiling fan to help circulate air on our cool los angeles nights. An ipod, iphone dock and charger on the clock radio will charge your phone. Sounds of nature are also available on this clock to lull you to sleep. Each bedroom closet holds two warm terry bathrobes for your lounging comfort.

The kitchen has all full sized appliances including stainless steel refrigerator/ freezer with through the door filtered ice & water, range and over the range microwave and full 24' dishwasher and a double bowled farmhouse sink with garbage disposal. Quartz countertops add elegance to the kitchen design and are extremely durable. The kitchen is well appointed with service for 8, cookware, and more. You can easily cook a full gourmet meal in this kitchen or just as easily heat up your leftovers from the night before out on the town. Hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, newly wrapped sponge and a jumbo roll of paper towels are provided as well free of charge.

The master bathroom boasts a separate tub and large shower double sinks and commode. The second, smaller bathroom has a shower, one sink and commode. Each bathroom is finished in simple and clean white metro tile. Plenty of white fluffy towels are provided as well. A starter pack of shampoo, conditioner and bath gel is provided in each bathroom as well as 3 rolls of toilet tissue and one box of kleenex. Hair dryers are also provided.

A washer and dryer in the unit make it easy to bring less clothes and go home with them clean. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets are provided.

A decorative fireplace in the living room and wedding cake crown mouldings add character and history to this wonderful home.

Each of the 4 televisions feature basic cable and roku boxes with crackle and netflix so you can relax, watch tv or a film. A blue ray dvd player is available in the living room. High speed free internet service via wifi is available throughout the unit. A printer is available as well to print out your boarding passes or any other business needs you have.

Amenities for the little ones are available upon request. Including a pack n play, stroller, and high chair.

I am originally from the East Coast via Philadelphia & New York and settled in Los Angeles in 1999. I met my husband, originally from LA, in Los Angeles and we have a young son. I have worked in Entertainment for much of my adult life in both Music and Film. I also love design and real estate and owning Vacation Rentals has been a wonderful experience for me.

We bought this property in 2001 after living in the neighborhood for years. We lovingly renovated and restored it to its 1936 grandeur and added all the conveniences of modern living.

The location of this property cannot be beat. We are truly in the heart of everything yet still in a quiet residential neighborhood. You can walk to a lot but come home to the peaceful tree-lined street where neighbors walk their kids and dogs and chat with each other as locals do.

This listing is very nice accomodations. it is listed exactly accurate regarding the location, layout, amenities, very quiet street. walking distance to the grove, inwhich is an excellent place to shop and purchase groceries as well. The property is very clean and well maintained. My daughter fell in love with the decor, colors and layout of each room. I would recommend this property to family and friends. We went to Beverly Hills Rodeo Drive, Greystone Mansion, Hollywood Blvd and Chinese Theatre, drove up to the Hollywood Sign. Went to the Grove 3 times. My daughter wants to stay at this same location the next time we go on vacation. My boys also loved the property.

Cozy and Nice apartment with great location.

Hi! Our stay at this apartment was very nice, the place is very warm and cozy, great decoration and facilites, the kitchen, the laundry and the appliances are very complete as well, the cons are the small bathroom is too small, you can barely fit in, instead of the big bathroom is very nice. Also the beds are uncomfortable, we had trouble sleeping beacuse of this. The hostess had everything under control but a bit too much, she entered the house while we were gone and inspected everything so this was a little uncomfortable for our privacy, she showed up at least 3 times on the 7 days that we stayed at the house to check if we parked well, if we throw out the garbage, if we had the door locked, etc.. We had problems with the internet connection and she resolve that soon enough so this was a plus, but as a recommendation I suggest to give more privacy to the guests that will stay at this house, because overall the house is a very nice place to stay at Los Angeles and great location also.

Owner's Response: I'm sorry that these guests felt that they were not given enough privacy. I have actually never heard that concern from any other guest in any of the 3 properties I own. I am a very hands on owner and stop by the property regularly to deal with all 3 units in the building, take the trash cans in and out, and maintenance issues. I did see them 3 times in the 8 days they were there. #1 to stop by and say, "Hello" the day after they checked in. Most guests appreciate this as I can answer any questions regarding the neighborhood and apartment in person during this standard visit. #2 to collect monies owed for an additional guest in their party. This visit was requested as they preferred to pay cash rather than electronically, and #3 to try and repair the internet problems. It was on this visit that in going from the unit to the basement that I noticed the back door had been left unlocked and pointed this out to them for their security. My other visits to the property were not related to these guests. I have no interest in inspecting people's property during their stay so why they felt their property had been inspected is perplexing to me. I'm sorry that my presence at the property felt intrusive to these guests as it was meant to be helpful in all 3 circumstances. I will address their concerns about the beds as soon as possible. Most of my guests say they are the most comfortable beds they have ever slept in so this comment certainly surprises me. If the mattresses need to be turned or replaced that will be taken care of immediately. Yes, they are correct, the 2nd bathroom is small and only can accomodate one person at a time. it is the only room in the home that is not very spacious. I hope these guests realize the purpose for my visits and that makes them feel better about their stay.

Fabulous property and location

What a wonderful find. The property is really beautifully furnished, light and spacious. There is everything you need including wi fi, towels, robes, washer/drier and very well stocked kitchen. When the children rushed in to 'bagsy' rooms they couldn't make up their minds as they were all so lovely! Parking is no problem as there is a driveway. The location was surprisingly peaceful and an attractive neighbourhood which we felt 100% safe in, even at night. Even hummingbirds flying around! Having said that it is also extremely central. It was a leisurely 10 minutes walk to The Grove and Farmers' Market, Miracle Mile (with La Brae Tar Pits, museums and art galleries) were about the same distance. There is a Trader Joe (very friendly staff) and Ralphs 5 minutes walk away for groceries. Sharlotte kept in touch from booking through to departure and is friendly and efficient - extremely reliable (thank you for a lovely holiday). We will definitely be returning.

Perfect Location for visiting Hollywood.

Really enjoyed our stay. The place is a lot bigger than we realised so there's plenty of space for everyone. The Grove is a 10 minute walk away with plenty to do, I would recommend the farmers market for trying out all sorts of different foods. Uber is great round here too so it's easy to get around and see the sights especially if you don't want to use a car. We all loved it!

Beautiful, neat and well located house

We stayed here with a family of 8 people, comprised of 6 adults and 2 kids, and we had a magnificent time here. House had everything we needed, things where easy to use, it was perfectly clean and the owner pays attention to a lot of details that make staying in this house a very pleasurable experience. House is very spacious and although we where a large group of people it never felt crowded. The only thing we could say is that the mattress in the first room with a double bed wasn't firm and it caused a littlle discomfort. The neighbourhood is beautiful and it has everything one could need. Overall this was a great experience and i would totally recommend this house.

Perfect location, spacious and modern LA home!

We stayed in the ground floor apartment early September for 8 nights and were very impressed by it! We spent little time in the apartment so didn’t use it to it’s fullest but it was spacious, modern, very clean/well-maintained and had all the amenities we needed + more. Sharlotte was very helpful right from the initial enquiry and always quickly to responded to any of our questions etc (even during our stay). It’s in a great location and the neighbourhood is very quite and safe, 5-10 minute walk at most to The Grove which is ideal for an evening! I would definitely recommend/book this properly again!

Location! Location! You can enjoy all that LA and Hollywood have to offer minutes away and come 'home' to a quiet residential neighborhood in the heart of it all!

We are centrally located between the San Fernando Valley and the Beach. Only 7 miles from the Film Studios in Burbank (Warner Brothers & Universal) and 10 miles to the beach and the airport in the other direction. We are right around the corner from Paramount Studios as well as CBS Studios.

Located just Southwest of Hollywood and a few blocks from West Hollywood,

A 5 minute drive to the East is the quaint Larchmont Village. A 'local' spot for a fabulous Sunday Farmer's market, many restaurants and great coffee shops & ice cream shops as well as some wonderful local specialty shops.

You are only 2 miles from the Heart of Hollywood. See the sights on Hollywood's Walk of Fame, stop by Grauman's Chinese Theatre to see the handprints of the Stars, The Wax Museum and Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum are always great fun as well.

For shopping and the occasional celebrity spotting take a 5 minute stroll West to The Grove at Farmers Market, only a few blocks away. Next to the Grove is Pan Pacific Park where you can run, relax, and picnic. There are several playgrounds for the kids, and many fields for soccer, baseball & more. The Original Farmer's Market, established in 1934 is nearby at 3rd & Fairfax. It has both fresh produce every day as well as great restaurants of all types, from Parisian crepes to Mexican tacos, to Indonesian fare, Brazilian dishes and more. The whole family can find something they like with the variety at this outdoor market.

A morning hike at nearby Runyan Canyon is a must for the vacationer as is a scenic drive on Mullholland Drive. Lookout points along the drive will give you amazing views you've only seen in the movies of both Los Angeles and 'the Valley'. Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Six Flags at Magic Mountain are all within a 45 minute drive. Universal Studios City Walk & Theme Park are a mere 15 minutes away. You can even take the subway there from Hollywood!

There are many great restaurants at The Grove as well as on Beverly Boulevard and LaBrea that are within walking distance.

If you are interested in sporting events, theater, concerts or other live music events, we are located within 5-15 minutes from the Staples Center & Nokia theatre, Dodger's stadium, the world famous Sunset Strip, the Kodak Theater (home to the Oscar's), the Pantages Theatre, the Wiltern, the El Rey, the Hollywood Palladium and many many more.

We are equidistant from the Bob Hope airport in Burbank and LAX International airport. We are about 10 miles from horseback riding at Griffith Park and 10 miles to the Beaches in the other direction.

Explore the 'non-Hollywood' part of LA too nearby and treat yourself to the rich traditions and cuisines in nearby Thai town, Korea Town, China Town & Little Tokyo.
