My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights and we could not have been happier with our choice. The apartment's location is a 5 minute walk from Gare de Lyon train station and a 10 minute walk to the Gare D'austerlitz train station making getting around via Metro or RER super easy and convenient. The Bastille district where the apartment is located is beautiful and has a multitude of great restaurants to choose from as well as great shopping. Le Marais district with more great shopping is just a 15 minute walk away. The Haussmann architecture of the building is absolutely beautiful and is on full display in many of the buildings around this apartment. The balcony was quite large and perfect for 2 to enjoy dinner and the views were amazing. The apartment was easily 1000 square feet with a large functional fully stocked kitchen where it was easy to prepare dinners. The master bedroom was large and the bed was very comfortable. The owner has a great collection of CD's and we thoroughly enjoyed listening to these. Another guest commented on the antique daybed settee in the living room being uncomfortable so I'll add a comment here. I know that the padding to this piece has recently been overhauled making it more comfortable as of this summer. It was comfortable to sit on however I might suggest that providing further large cushions on the back and sides of the settee would be desirable. We brought the cushions out from the spare bedroom and used these on the back / sides and this made it much more comfortable. In addition, at minimum 1 living room chair could be added and the space is definitely large enough to accommodate this without seeming too crowded. Just a note that the lift to the 3rd floor of the apartment is very very small such that 2 people with luggage needed separate trips to get to the apartment. paris-sharing.com was very professional and helpful with the booking details and Fay was there when we arrived as had been previously arranged to do a walk-through with us and to ensure that any questions were addressed.
