I am a native New Yorker who grew up on the beach. I've always loved the ocean, and as an archaeologist, I've had the opportunity to swim at many beaches in many countries, but our New York and New Jersey beaches remain my favorites. I now live in the Hudson Valley, but I come down to Cape May as often as I can.
My brother Chris designed and built this house in 2004, and it bears the imprint of his impeccable taste and unique vision. Chris lived and worked in the area for many years. He introduced us to the Victorian elegance of Cape May City, its ocean and bay beaches, and especially the natural world of the shore - the raptor and butterfly migrations in the fall, the mating season of the horseshoe crabs in the spring, and the wild beauty of the coastal wetlands. Oh, and the shopping is good here, too.
