Owner / Property Manager purchased this house in 2003
This cabin has a wonderful view from the front porch and wildlife is abundant. We spent a very relaxing weekend in a beautiful log home. Would love to go back for a longer stay.
This could be an excellent property. There are many nice aspects to it but my sense is that the owners have not been there in a long time and their on sight guy is totally ineffective. (Pleasant but ineffective). It needs much attention. We rented for two weeks. The ad promises internet. We never had it despite calling the local manager twice and getting his promise to come fix it. The down stairs mattress should be replaced. The back door sticks so bad you feel like you are kicking the door down every time you come in. The place has junk all over the property, on the decks and under the decks. Two grills, the one shown in the ad is in pieces and does not work and the other is only a few uses away from the same condition. The owners lock the closet in the upstairs master and so your hanging clothes either go in a down stairs broom closet or are laid across a chair. The main room ceiling fan is absolutely filthy and sprays dust when you turn it on. In the summer heat the downstairs bedroom needs a fan of some kind. I would recommend that it's time to dry clean the bed spreads as well. A half days work, few hundred dollars , a new local guy and this house is a five star.
Well, on the one hand I would give Lacy's Log Cabin 5 stars. The home is delightful and the view from the front deck is fabulous! We used the hot tub every night as we star gazed. In the morning we were greeted by several deer! On the other hand, unfortunately, this property is right next to a guest ranch which hosted a large family reunion the first 2 nights we were there. The first night (Friday) the party ended about 11:00 p.m., but Saturday night's party, with D.J., amazingly loud sound system and strobe lights, showed no signs of stopping at midnight. So we called the police about 12:15 and the party ended a little after 12:30 a.m. Fortunately for us the family reunion ended Sunday and we had three more nights to enjoy this wonderful property! I'm giving Lacy's Cabin 5 stars and hope "the family reunion" unites somewhere else!
Stayed at "Lacy's" with my husband and my mom and dad. The rental is perfect for 2 couples and has plenty of space. The pool table is a great addition. Lots of games played and fun times had. The porches, breezes, deer and birds entertain while outside. We have a photo of my husband feeding the deer banana chips from his MOUTH! Looks like their kissing! We had a wonderful time. This is our second stay and it has been perfect both times. Booking with Evolve is easy and they provide all the info necessary without killing your email box with junk! Great booking agency. I will stick with them from now on.
We stayed at this property for a reunion with our son who is in the Air Force based in Alamogordo and was just returning from Afghanistan. It was the perfect combination of seclusion and luxury. The pool table was great entertainment after our nightly meals made in a fully-equipped and homey kitchen. The hot tub was inviting and appreciated after a day of hiking. It was the perfect vacation for us to recharge; and I might add, we came all the way from New York, and we would come again.. Evolve was a pleasure to deal with, as was Bill Robinson, our contact person...
This cabin was awesome with all of the comforts of home. The pool table kept us all entertained each night and the movie library was great. The kitchen had all of the dishes and even some spices and we cooked each night. If you need to rest your tired ski bodies the hot tub was perfect. We fed the local wildlife and had a lot of fun with that. We could not have asked for a better place to stay.
