Minimum rental one week rental Saturday to Saturday except for urban apartments.
This elegant and completely frescoed villa rental is located in a beautiful 18th century Palazzo on Italy's Lake Garda. A perfect example of the fascinating 18th century Venetian architecture, this spacious (700 sqm) and culturally rich apartment occupies the first floor of the three story Palazzo. Outside, the large shared garden offers lovely areas for relaxing in the shade or sunbathing by the lake. Apartment Palazzo has a nice view overlooking the little "Porticciolo" (small public harbor) and the deep blue waters of Lake Garda. The property is located just a few minutes walk from the historical center of Toscolano Maderno, a popular holiday resort on the lake. The owner lives on the second floor. There is parking available on site, however, space is limited and it is suggested guests use the public parking lots in front of the Palazzo. Please note, since the harbor is public, it can get a bit busy and, perhaps, noisy in the summer.
The frescoes in Apartment Palazzo date back to 1798 and depict in vivid and colorful detail mythical battles against dragons and stories of heroic deeds. The antique furnishings, cotto floors and authentic aura of this special property complement this magnificent feast for the eyes nicely. Arrival to the apartment is via a splendid and light-infused staircase. The spacious, bright and frescoed formal living room has comfortable furniture and overlooks the lake, the Porticciolo and the enticing garden. A smaller living room offers a TV, a CD player and access to the balcony with inspiring views of the lake and garden. The elegant and spacious dining room has a table for eight, a fireplace and interesting pieces of artwork. The kitchen is well equipped with a gas stove, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, juice maker and washing machine. A wooden table is available for informal meals or as a prepping surface. The pink-hued large twin bedroom, with frescoes, has an ensuite bathroom with shower. The comfortable two double bedrooms and the single bedroom share a bathroom with shower. A baby bed is available upon request as is a telephone.
Lake Garda is the largest of Italy's Northern alpine lakes. It is also its most tropical. Blocked by the towering Dolomites to the North, the lake is blessed with a mild climate and is rich with a plethora of Mediterranean flora and fauna. Lake Garda's shores are colorful and fragrant with groves of citrus and olive, gardens of magnolias and bougainvilleas and forests of pine and cypress. As befits a deep-water lake, a multitude of water related sports are available for the active and adventurous. Charming towns and villages ring the lake, many worth exploring for their gastronomic, cultural and historical features. Discovered over the years by Romans, poets, writers, celebrities and politicians, Lake Garda beckons to those searching for near-perfection on earth.
