It's quiet above the hustle/bustle of the 'Heart of Hollywood.' The area of Hollywood is so wonderful will probably never need to use the air conditioner or the heater.

It was great vacation. Great apartment. It was home away home. Nice place to stay. There is every thing you need. My wife loves the kitchen because it had every thing you need. Service was great. Toby helped us all the time. We do recommended to a family with kids.

close to everything!

My husband and I had a great vacation and spent two weeks in this beautiful apartment.

We had all the conveniences of home plus an indoor parking space which mad coming and going quick and easy. The rooftop view is awesome. You can see the capital records building, and on a clear day you can see all the way to the Pacific Ocean.

It is close to the walk of fame and lots of fun tourist places and the best movie theaters ever!

The apartment was very spacious and had all appliances to make it comfortable like home.

The large flat screen TV was entertaining and the cable wifi word great. The most unique

was the artist decor which made it a fun place to be.

Hope to revisit sometime soon!

Very Homely Apartment

We were a group of three students on our three month summer internships and we were lucky to have found this cosy and neat apartment tucked behind the hustle and bustle of Hollywood Boulevard. It is just a stone's throwaway from Hollywood Boulevard (Walk of fame), lovely cafes, restaurants, shopping and groceries.

Our favourite part of the apartment is the fully equipped kitchen as we enjoy cooking a lot. The neighbors are all friendly. As for laundry, the laundry room is just 20 steps away from the apartment unit (actually it is just outside our unit). Yes it can get faulty at times, however there are other laundry rooms located in the other levels. A week before we moved out, the building management have changed and we notice that a huge makeover is being done to the apartment. The swimming pool has been cleaned and maintained regularly. Also, the rooftop is amazing at night.

One of the important factors of renting an apartment in LA is to have very attentive landlords/Rental agents and Phil and Jill were one of the rare few in LA who are so accommodating (we had bad experiences with others before) and they are efficient. Just give them a buzz or send them a text and they will respond asap.

Here are the pros and cons of the apartment:

Pros:

-Safe (although you should not take your safety for granted) and convenient to stores and walkable to tourists spots.

- Quiety and bright (lots of light in the day)

- Large Living room space. It can comfortably hold group gatherings for 15 people.

- Fully equipped kitchen. For coffee lovers, you will be glad to live here.

- Allocated parking space.

- Laundry room just outside your unit.

- Great rooftop view, ok size Swimming pool.

Cons:

- No gym (but you have Runyon Canyon nearby)

- The springs of the roll out bed is starting to wear.

- The convertible bed of the sofa is not very comfortable. We resorted to purchasing an airbed.

- No security guard but there is a secured main entrance. (we were surprised one morning to see a pair of homeless couple spend the night at the foyer area but I believe they sneaked in when a tenant walked out of the building).

- The elevator breaks down occasionally. We rarely use it as the apartment is on the second floor. We remembered seeing the new building management getting it maintained.)

Basically, we had a comfortable stay and many who visited us are impressed and gave good compliments on the very 'homely' apartment.

My wife and I wanted to explore the heart of Hollywood since we love movies.

This apartment is 2 blocks from the walk of fame. 3 blocks from the Kodak Theater,

10 minutes from the Hollywood Bowl, 3 blocks from Capital Records.

It was super convenient for shopping and it was great having a designated parking space in the garage. The apartment was a very spacious, bed comfortable and fully equipped with

all appliances, fast internet and great big screen TV

We had an excellent vacation

I don’t recommend renting this Apt, roaches, moth, bad smell and dirty.

I got here there were moths flying around the Apt I went to the bedroom closet and saw two rugs infested with moths, I told Phil and his wife about it, they told me to move the heavy, dirty rugs instead of having Toby (a gentleman that lives in the building) do it.

Then I go to the kitchen and see a roach on the sink, so disgusting.

I sent photos to Phil and asked for an exterminator.

He wanted to wait for the building to send one but they couldn't do it on the same day, so I had to call, text and email Phil and the wife every hour to make sure they were sending an exterminator, I had to wait all day at home, then when the exterminator arrived at 4:30 pm he tells me I had to be out of the Apt for 5 hours because of the chemicals, not only it was rush hour, but I had nowhere to go, so I went to a restaurant.

Once I came back to Apt around 9pm, I had to kill another roach in the kitchen.

I send photos to Phil again.

Wait there is more…..

The next morning I was woken up at 8 am to a horrible noise in the bedroom window, when I looked there were 3 men with lathers painting the outside of the building.

I told Phil he should had told me there was construction before renting the Apt, he said he didn't know, meanwhile there were notices posted all over the building, now I have to deal with these guys for 10 days making noise and I can’t walk naked in my own Apt.

I told Phil the TV remote batteries were dead and asked if he had batteries, he said no, so what I am supposed to do, buy batteries? Toby should do it.

I asked Phil to pay for my dinner, since I couldn't have dinner at home, so he gave me a discount of $25 Dollars, but when I asked him to give me a one night free because of all my troubles, I couldn’t unpack my luggage for two days, the waiting, the stress, the construction, he refused and said I can move out if I want to.

Unfortunately I was so busy with my work and didn't have time to find another place so I had to stay.

The hallways are depressing and smell really bad, like garbage.

The windows and balcony are so dirty looks like they haven’t been cleaned in YEARS. The weather was beautiful but I couldn't use the balcony because it was dirty and the workers made a mess.

The shower doesn’t close all the way so leaks all day, wasting water and making noise. Then the shower knob broke I had to use pliers to open the shower for 2 days until it was fixed.

Nice apartment in building in bad condition

The apartment is well equipped, nice and spacious but the building is dirty, it smells trash everywhere and the pool was so dirty we couldn't use it. Old furniture and trash on the street. Too bad for the owner that the building isn't well maintained.

Owner's Response: In response to all issues the dusty common areas (front lobby area) was due to recent construction and soon to be cleaned. The pool is maintained for summer season only. The pool season is over in September since it gets too cool to swim. Trash pick up in this area is in the front which can be unsightly but it is soon removed by the city. There are no alley's in Hollywood so like many cities the items to be disposed of are brought curb side for pick up. All issues have been addressed with management and fixed where possible.

Can't wait to go back!

I stayed here for the last week and I am so happy I did. It is close to alot of the Hollywood attractions but in a very quiet neighborhood. The tenants in the building were very friendly. It was four blocks away from daughter's place, which was fabulous. The on-site mgr was very helpful and the owners were great to work with. Looking forward to coming back!
