We welcome you to our beach front home on the Island of Kauai!

Lae Nani is a premier resort located on the east side of Kauai. This location means that you have easy access to both the North Shore (Napali Coast) and South Shore (Poipu, Waimea Canyon and beyond). Close to the resort, there are several grocery stores and shops to provide for your needs and there are several fantastic restaurants within walking distance.

Our top (3rd) floor, two-bedroom renovated condo has all you need to enjoy your time here. When Ric's father purchased the condo, before it was constructed, he was advised by the builder that our unit was the best one of the entire complex due to its proximity to the beach, amazing views, distance from the road and top floor location. Because it is on the top floor, there is no noise from neighbors above. The building is situated in such as way that you will wake to the beautiful morning sun as it lights the Lae Nani gardens and ocean out front. In the afternoon, when the sun heats up, the angle of the building allows for enjoyment of the trade wind breezes as they flow through the screen doors and are stirred by the ceiling fans inside the unit.

Our condo does have amazing views of the beautiful Lae Nani gardens, beaches and surf from two separate lanais (balconies). For a romantic getaway, the view from the master bedroom lanai can't be beat and the lanai in front of the living room has a table large enough to eat dinner by plus two relaxing chaise lounges.

Because we are beach front (not just ocean view) you have an unobstructed 180 degree view of the ocean and the sand is only about 75 feet from the condo. There is a small keiki (children's) pool out front that is protected and perfect for small children who are ready to explore what the ocean has to offer. For adults and older kids we have good snorkeling. There is also a pool for Lae Nani guests that you can relax at and enjoy the sight and sound of the ocean out front. Most days you will look out to see surfers catching a great wave and endangered monk seals often rest on the beach in front.

We listen to the feedback of our guests and are continually working to improve our condo. We travel ourselves and like to provide comforts that we enjoy at other places we stay. Our condo is family-friendly, with a portable crib, stroller, booster seat, games and books for children to enjoy. Free secured wireless internet, Netflix, Amazon Prime, blue ray player, iPod docking station and a phone for you to use not only for local calls but also long distance to the US and Canada. Our kitchen is stocked with a few extras you may not find in other condos, like coffee, spices and staples such as oil and vinegar. We provide good knives and high quality utensils. Our beds and linens are comfortable and we stock your bathroom with locally-made beautiful soap. We have wood or tile flooring throughout and beautiful artwork which includes several local artists – one of them only 8 years old.

As you relax listening to the sound of the surf, you can plan your day, knowing you are never far from adventure.

Keywords: Our unit is a 3rd floor walk-up with two lanai's (decks); one off the living room and one off the master bedroom. The ocean is less than 75 feet from the building.

Why Barbara and Richard Berry chose Wailua

This unit has been in the family since the original construction. My father inspected the property prior to construction and was advised by the developer to purchase our unit as it would have (he felt) the best view and location in the complex.

What makes this condo unique

The East side of Kauai (also known as the Coconut Coast) is unsurpassed in location and access to the rest of the island. The weather here is in between the wet zone (North Shore) and the dry zone (South Shore). We have a number of great restaurants within walking distance.

Clean!

My husband and I stayed in this condo for our 20th anniversary. What a clean place! Kudos to Ohat, their on-island manager/cleaner.

While the condo is relatively close to the main road (hwy 56), there is no traffic noise. You can definitely hear the surf from the master bedroom, though, even if you close the windows. I guess that's the flip side of being so close to the ocean! If the sound of constant surf bothers you, this would not be a good choice for you.

There are a number of restaurants within walking distance though the nicer ones require reservations, even on a weekday (e.g. Hukilau Lanai, Kintaro). Passion Bakery Cafe and Cakes by Kristin have limited pastries. The Coconut Marketplace is also just a block away though only half of it is open currently. Smith Garden Luau is within 2 miles but is better approached by car.

Two large grocery stores, Foodland and Safeway, are just down the road. You can get a Foodland "savings card" by giving your phone number. No need to fill out forms.

This place was convenient, clean, and beautiful. There is plenty of secure parking as well.

Perfect!

This was my wife and my first time to Kauai and this unit was absolutely perfect. The views from the bedroom and two patios was even better than we could have imagined. Much like the rest of the island, pictures don't do it justice. We did a tremendous amount of research prior to booking and even did some driving to look at a few of our other 'finalist' options. We clearly made the right choice. The proximity to the ocean, beech, pool, restaurants, grocery, north, south, and west is unbeatable. We've been to plenty of places, and this was the best vacation of our lives. We can't wait to stay in the same unit and du it all over again.

Great Stay in Kauai!

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our time at this apartment. It is well designed and a bit more modern - not over the top floral and Hawaiian like many of the apartments you see listed. The apartment was clean on arrival and the owner left a really generous bag of gifts. Location was great - it's right on the beach and an easy drive north where most of the restaurants are in Kapaa. The rest of the island is also easy to access. The north and west side are both about 45 minute to an hour away.

Comfortable In Kauai

Before I rented this unit, I read every review I could find on the property. (Who has money to waste, right?) Well it's exactly as pictured. It's a wonderful property and a well appointed unit. There was not one thing we needed that we, (two adults), did not find. As a matter of fact, we almost bought beach chairs, cooler and umbrella before we noticed the door on the lanai and opened it. There we found everything we needed for the beach. Check there before purchasing anything. We found four large beach towels waiting for us inside the unit too. While the furniture was nice, it was a bit uncomfortable for lounging. Not a huge drawback though. I also assume other guests left behind their spices so even that we didn't need to purchase. It was just some basic items but enough for our needs. The kitchen was very well equipped. As a matter of fact, just as well as home with dishes, utensils, pots and pans. While AC would have been nice, if only in the bedrooms, we made do even with 85 degree temps however, the 75 -90% humidity was a bit hard to take at times. We just stayed in the water as much as possible. Still, all in all if I ever go back, even alone, I will rent this two bedroom unit. It was the best on the property in my opinion. Note, it is on the third floor and the stairs can be trying at times but you learn to adjust. Meaning, if you didn't bring it up or down the first time, you probably won't go back for it. But who can't use exercise? Do not hesitate to rent this unit. The grounds, beach and pool exceeded our expectations. We traveled to Poipu and up north for day trips and after seeing both of those locations, we were extremely elated that we picked the east side with it's peacefulness and limited amount of people.

Wonderful time at this condo! 8/1/14-8/8/14

My husband, son, and I had a great stay at This condo. The descriptioon of the condo was right on and perfectly detailed. The unit was very clean and neat upon arrival, and was beautifully decorated. The view from the condo was awesome! As described, the grounds at this facility were gorgeous. There were plenty of grocery stores and restaurants close by, and the Condo is centrally located in Kauai to drive to all the great spots on the Island. We were very comfortable and pleased with our choice of lodging. We had a memorable time and will be back to stay at this wonderful condo. Thank You so much!!

We were very delighted with the condo and grounds. The view was very soothing. Walking to the pool was even a treat because the landscaping was so well done with vibrant plants and a pond. I noticed after walking the beachfront that our property was about the classiest too!
