Pama Hale - that's the Hawaiian word for Palm House. Our house is located in a private and secluded 1.2 acre tropical garden and just steps from sandy Moloa'a Beach. You will find mango, star fruit, avocado and more - just help yourself. So make yourself feel at home in our piece of paradise!
The house is about 1200sft in size with two completely separated bedrooms with a private bath each. This makes the house the perfect place for two couples - or honeymooners! Ceiling fans in all rooms provide a tropical breeze.
A central living area with a fully equipped kitchen and a TV and computer section (wireless internet is available) connect the bedroom areas. A large deck heading towards the ocean (we still call it mountain view due to the large palm trees) invites for a barbeque or some tropical cocktails any time you like.
Moloa`a Beach is just two walking minutes away from Pama Hale. The tranquility of the house and garden (about 1.2 acre), the nearby beach and the variety of activities on this Hawaiian Island create an ideal combination for a calm and relaxing or an active holiday! The design and setting of our home gives you the feeling that you are experiencing an exotic vacation, yet with all the comforts and services of the civilized world.
In addition, it takes just 30 minutes to get to the airport of Lihue, with direct flights from/to the US/Canadian mainland! Our location, halfway between Lihue and the charming town of Hanalei, is convenient for your holiday to include hiking, fishing, whale watching, horseback riding, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, windsurfing, kayaking or bird watching.

Perfect place to get away from it all. Uniquely designed and built wooden home on poles located in the middle of a palm garden. Steps to the beach. Tropical fish waiting for you.

Kauai Vacation -- August 2005:
We once again went to Kauai for a vacation this year and stayed at the fantastic Pama Hale house near Moloaa Beach. We spent 10 glorious days in paradise. Since you do the same thing in paradise everyday: Wake up, Eat breakfast, Snorkel, Surf, Eat lunch, Sightsee, Eat dinner, Sleep -- repeat! The photos are loosely organized around these categories. We also had a great helicopter tour this year
Thank you for letting us rent Pame Hale and sharing your little slice of heaven with us. We had an incredible time, playing games, cooking dinners, and enjoy the "gek gek" chatter of those amazing geckos! Also, thanks to Christel for checking in on us and welcoming us upon our arrival!
We couldn't believe how how beautiful and unique Pama Hale was when we drove up to it. The house is gorgeous and breezy, and full of light. We spent most of our mornings and evenings at the house since it was so peaceful and lovely. There was nothing better than getting up and having breakfast out on the lanai or eating dinner and hearing the chatter of geckos above our heads. Being so near Moloa'a bay was wonderful, and it was a pleasure walking to the beach just down the road. Proximity-wise, it was so close the airport and many conveniences, but it felt wonderfully secluded. On top of that, the owners were so welcoming and responsive, and very easy to make arrangements with. We will definitely return.
Pama Hale was the absolute perfect home for our time in Kauai. The "wooden cathedral" of a house lets in light and breezes. The entire property is a tropical paradise straight out of a movie set. The lanai makes for wonderful outdoor meals and evening stargazing. Best of all, the Moloaa beach is a three minute walk, and it is a hidden Island treasure. It was an absolute perfect stay, and we only wish we had more time to enjoy it longer.
We had an absolutely fabulous stay in Kauai and we're so glad we rented your home. We were looking to have an experience different from being at a hotel or condo complex so staying at Pama Hale was perfect. We very much enjoyed the privacy and found that you had everything we could possibly need. We liked the construction of the house and extensive use of screens to take advantage of the breeze in keeping things cool. Our kids (ages 13 and 10) enjoyed all of the geckos and a big bullfrog they saw in the stream. The short walk to the beach was well worth it as I don't think we ever saw more than 20 people there at a time. It felt like we had the place to ourselves. Well, maybe with the exception of the roosters who seemed to love making calls all times of the day and night : ) Crystal was friendly and easy to work with and I appreciate the ease of working with you as well. I would love to return to Pama Hale sometime in the future. Aloha! Tami, Colorado, USA.
We are big Kauai fans and visited the island for the second time. In Pama Hale we stayed for the first time.
For us Kauai and Pama Hale are now very closely connected! The house is exactly how it is shown on the pictures and described on the web-site,
but when we experienced it, it feels even better. The decoration and interieur fits perfectly to the island, the large deck invites to relax,
the tase of the mangos picked from the fruit yard is unforgettable and Moloa'a Bay (2 min walk) is just perfect. We liked it so much that we
made it our wedding location. We are very happy that we could spend our holiday, our wedding and our honeymoon in Susanne & Roland's home.
Thanks also to Christel the property manager.
If possible we would give more than 5 stars...
We loved this house and plan to return in the very near future. The house
was so large, unusual and so comfortable. The secluded deck was used
everyday to eat and relax. So close to such a beautiful bay that we swam
and snorkeled at daily. Location was a short distance to Hanalei, Na pali
coast and other favorite North shore sights and beaches. We even named our
favorite "jungle chicken" Rufus! Best vacation rental we have ever
experienced! Laura and Ron Gillilan, Estacada, Oregon.
