This 3-bedroom vacation apartment is located right on Nevsky Prospect - the main thoroughfare of the city. In Tsarist times, the majority of nobility lived in this area in palaces most of which still exist today. All major attractions of historical Saint Petersburg are within reach of short walk. The apartment is available for short-term or long-term rentals. It was newly renovated in 2014. This two-level apartment is located in an ancient building on the territory of a secured well-appointed courtyard. There are three separate bedrooms, one dining room and one full bathrooms and guest toilet on different levels of the apartment. Each room is equipped with plasma TV, queen-size beds with orthopaedic mattresses. Kitchen area has all necessary facilities both for cooking and leisure time. The ground floor and the first floor are connected with each other by stairs. Free Wi-Fi connection. This apartment can comfortably accommodate 5-7 people (extra+2 persons). My husband and I live in StP, and we were extremely pleased to find this apartment for our parents visit. The apartment was more than big enough for all 6 of us, including our 1-year-old daughter. It was very clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Everything worked great, and we were more than satisfied with our stay there. As the description says, it is in a very quiet courtyard away from the main street, but close enough to make all sightseeing so convenient. It is less than 5 minutes walk to buses, metro station, cafes, small groceries. Beds were large and comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with supplies for cooking (we stayed in and cooked meals frequently), and everything was in working order. It had everything we needed, and we felt like were were in a home, not just a rented apartment. Last of all, the owners were extremely nice and accomodating. It was truly a pleasure doing business with them, and I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting StP.
The Central District is an area with many old buildings and has beautiful parks like the Summer Garden, Field of Mars and Mikhailovsky Garden. The Central District is also the wealthiest area in Saint Petersburg, and is home to luxury hotels like Hotel Astoria and Grand Hotel Europe. It has always been a wealthy district since the rich noble Russians built their mansions here.
St Isaac's Square is home to the St Isaac's Cathedral and Mariinsky Palace, and has a monument dedicated to Tsar Nicholas I of Russia. On the other side of the cathedral is the Decembrists Square, next to the Admiralty Board, and home to the famous Bronze Horseman.
Palace Square is home to the very famous Winter Palace and the Hermitage.
Arts Square is home to the Russian Museum, the Mikhaylovsky Theatre, the Large Concert Hall (Bolshoi Zal) of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the Pushkin monument and is not far from the Church of the Savior on Blood.
