About Elizabeth Gittings
Friendly art historian and designer. Born and raised in Asia and the US, I love international design and traditional folk arts, which is why my spaces are eclectic, decorated in European, Pan-Asian, and Moroccan styles. One of the main reasons I like sharing my spaces is because, in this way, I am also sharing experiences and beauty I have encountered while traveling.
Elizabeth Gittings purchased this apartment in 1993
Why Elizabeth Gittings chose Boston
It is a gracious and historically important early American townhouse, with lovely authentic architectural details. The interior spaces have the calm of the Neo-Classical and the intimacy of the Federal style. Boston is a great city for the arts and history, and a pleasure to experience because of its human scale.
What makes this apartment unique
The fireplaces, courtyard garden with fountain, skylights, and hand-hewn beams are rare. Located in Boston's oldest neighborhood. And the art!
Guestbook comments from the owner
Looking for an apartment in Boston I gladly found this wonderful suite - it is marvellous, wonderfull, overwhelming - everything you need is there and even more .... Elizabeth is such a carying host:: always filled fridge adjusted to your needs and wishes..; she is so kind and helpfull - you cant get a better host. The apartment is ideally located - you can easily get to the center, everything in walking distance - at least for us. And if you prefer the T (underground) or the bus it's also only about a some minutes walk. We liked it so much to stay there and to get known to Elizabeth that we will come back soon for sure..
