The Barn and The Bar - The Barn at Longlook Farm is a traditional New England barn that was recently restored to it's original charm and authentic character. We offer 1500 square feet of entertaining space and feature wrought iron chandeliers and rustic sconces that radiate a warm elegance throughout. We also have an adjacent log building that we call The Bar, which houses a custom made bar and a beautiful rustic twig chandelier. The Barn and The Bar are adjacent to each other and each open to the stunning, pastoral views that Longlook Farm offers. Together, these two bucolic buildings offer over 2000 square feet of enchanting space to host the rustic wedding you envision. You are free to decorate each building as you would like to tailor the spaces to reflect your own unique style. We have many rustic accents that you are free to use to enhance the country, vintage feel of your day.
The Lodge - The Lodge at Longlook Farm is a classic Maine cedar log home that was built in 1965. It's original owner, my husband's grandmother, was a true country doctor who ran a family medical practice out of the bottom floor. We have kept the charm and integrity of the home intact while decorating it with comfortable and beautiful furnishings. Warm pine beams and logs create a rich and handsome interior that you will enjoy throughout your weekend stay. The Lodge has four bedrooms that comfortably sleep up to twelve adults. We feature a Great Room with cathedral ceilings, library, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, a large deck with stunning views and a back patio that overlooks the pond and mountains. Host your family or your wedding party at The Lodge for your wedding and enjoy the convenience of being so close to your wedding venue.

Sanbornton has charming leisure activities for your out of town guests. Outlet shopping is right down I-93 at exit 20 or enoy the lakeside villages of Meredith and Center Harbor, a 20 minute drive from Longlook Farm.
Colm and I married at Longlook Farm in October 2010. We married in the barn and it was a magical weekend at Longlook Farm spent celebrating with our family and friends. Everyone told us it was the 'best wedding they had ever been to!' With the memories of that weekend forever etched in our hearts and minds, we embarked on a journey to bring Longlook Farm to a place where couples who share our love of natural beauty and rustic elegance could come and celebrate and enjoy the farm for a destination wedding weekend. We have completely renovated the barn and bar to create beautiful spaces for you to host your special wedding event. We also have added a new 30x40 stone patio area off the back of the barn that offers stunning views of the mountains and is the perfect spot for you to host your cocktail hour. We also have a large 30x40 tent that covers the patio and is perfectly lit with soft bistro lighting. Longlook Farm is the perfect venue if you are looking for that unique venue that offers amazing views, elegant yet rustic spaces to host your event and a large and handsomely decorated lodge for all to enjoy for your weekend wedding.
"Longlook Lodge is a perfect retreat to enjoy the surrounding countryside, meander the rustic roads, hike, enjoy the beauty of the Lakes region, sample the local brews and wines, or to just relax and read.
The library was fantastic with so many choices and historical volumes. Everything was within driveable distance (the White Mountains, the Lakes Region, Portsmouth)--almost too many choices for adventures and outings.
We went crazy for the "chow-da" along with all the fantastic seafood (whether purchased at the local grocery store or in the restaurants). Our family dog was welcome and loved the premises and hikes. The home was beautifully furnished and cozy with two fireplaces and expansive views from every room.
The owners were gracious and accommodating both prior to and during our stay. A winning choice all the way around!"
I wish I could get married every weekend because I am so in love with this property! We had unexpected rain on our wedding day, but everything was still perfect. Katy and Colm are so easy to work with and just overall amazing people. The venue is perfect for a rustic DIY wedding. One of my favorite things about it is that its yours for the weekend. We got there Thursday and setup, Friday we had the rehearsal dinner at the house, Saturday was the wedding, and Sunday was cleanup! We could use the entire property and setup however we wanted. Its just a perfect and beautiful property. I hope I am invited to a wedding there soon because I cant wait to go back!
From the first moment Ryan and I met Katy and Colm, their warmth immediately made us feel at home on the property. We saw the property on a cold and soggy spring day, where you couldn't even see the fantastic view, and we still knew it was the place to get married. The cabin itself is a work of art from a magazine, with every piece of furniture and small detail being placed perfectly. The views of the mountains, the open space to roam around outside, the fire pits, the dock and pond, the apple trees and the old stone wall are only the beginning of what makes this place so beautiful. Then there's the actual barn and barn "bar" where without ANY decoration it looks just magical.
Katy and Colm made everything so easy for us from the beginning. They were able to meet with us several times to answer questions about the big day and ease our eagerness! They were very easy going with all the details we wanted to incorporate. We are also very grateful for their attentiveness the weekend of!
I really would recommend Longlook for anyone looking for a DIY, intimate, romantic, and beautiful weekend to get married. I can not tell you how many of our guests have contacted us to tell us it was the most romantic wedding they've ever witnessed.
Our wedding weekend at Longlook Farm was exactly what we were hoping for. The location was beautiful! The grounds, barns, and lodge, were absolutely stunning. We loved the ability to have everything from the rehearsal dinner, to the ceremony, to the post-wedding brunch right on site. The lack of travel made it easy for everyone to relax and have a good time. The lodge had everything we needed and the owners had plenty of decor that we could use and move around as needed. We loved the flexibility of bringing in our own caterer, etc and really having the place completely to ourselves for the whole weekend. It was unbelievable and I wish we could go back!
Longlook Farm was the perfect place to host our rustic country wedding. Katy & Colm were wonderful to work with. They were helpful and accommodating yet gave us the freedom to enjoy the farm privately with our family and friends.
The moment we got there we were immediately relaxed and ready to enjoy ourselves.
All of our guests raved about the stunning views, the beautiful grounds and how much fun they had.
Thank you Katy & Colm for helping to make our wedding even better than we could have imagined.

This really is the perfect venue for most any event (wedding, family reunion, etc.)
For us, it was the location of our wedding. When we arrived, the home and grounds were clean and ready to go. Katy & Colm (the owners) gave us a quick tour and then left us to enjoy the property for the weekend. The views are spectacular, the home comfortable, spacious and inviting. One of the things that impressed us the most was that every time we visited the property over 9 months of planning, it was seasonally decorated - fresh Spring flowers in the Spring, pumpkins & mums in the Fall, etc. I wish we could take credit for 90% of the decor in our wedding pictures, but the truth is that most of it was already done for us.
Typically, professional photographers can do a good job of making a mediocre place look fantastic, but with this location, the place is actually more beautiful when you see it in person.
Surely, you can get most of that from the many beautiful pictures that exist of this venue...the one thing that you won't see in the pictures is how helpful and accommodating the property owners are. This makes all the difference and is something that you'll never see in a photo.
Katy & Colm - thank you for everything. You truly made our wedding day special!
Longlook Farm was an amazing wedding venue. The grounds and the view was simply amazing! It was fantastic enjoying the venue in such a relaxed atmosphere all weekend long- it really allowed us to enjoy every minute of it! Colm and Katie were fantastic hosts with an eye for creativity!
We are located 4 miles from Interstate 93 which will take you to many area attractions, shopping destinations, and restaurants. You will feel as though you are away from it all, but still very close to everything.
Golf: Den Brae Golf course is a beautiful course and is located just 2 miles from Longlook Lodge. Den Brae is a third generation golf course in the heart of the Lakes Region (New Hampshire, USA). Den Brae is located in the quaint town of Sanbornton (2 minutes from I-93). Edward Craig began the golf course in 1958. Den Brae is still owned and operated by the Craig family.
