About Maria T Farr
I am an ecuadorean-american photographer and my husband Ken is an American who for 28 years was a US diplomat. After living in other countries and having marvelous experiences, we decided to settle in Ecuador because it is such a unique country, where one can enjoy eternal spring weather, be close to the beach and to the jungle, to the Galapagos Islands, enjoy the mountains, the lakes, the ocean, the jungle...all in a matter of a few hours and have a quality of life without too much expense. We are on the equator, thus, we can travel north or south with ease.. GUIDED TOURS AVAILABLE!!!! As of now, Ken has agreed to give the wonderful tours he has given to our friends in the past, as an option to our guests! check for details!

Why Maria T Farr chose Quito
I grew up in the Colonial City of Quito, and always wanted to return to it. My husband fell in love with it as well and we searched for a property that we can use and that can be shared with other guests who would fall in love with the city as well. This is a 300 year old house and when we saw it as a possibility to purchase an apartment, we immediately decided to acquire it though only in a blueprint then. We were able to design it to suit our taste as if it was for our exclusive use. We love the proximity to all what makes the Colonial city what it is..
What makes this apartment unique
We enjoy the unique life in the Colonial City, which is very different from the north or the south part of the city. This is like a different city, with a fantastic dynamic of it's own. The energy, the people, the time, the architecture, the pace, the markets, the churches are different and unique. The city was declared World Heritage Site in 1978 by the UNESCO and rightly so when you live it. The suite gives us this possibility as it is located three blocks from the Presidential Palace and very close to all the important monuments.

"Enjoyable Visit to Colonial Quito"
We recently spent a week at the ideally located apartment in Colonial Quito. Located only a few blocks for La Plaza Grande, there are many sights nearby along with many restaurants. The nice kitchen is up to date and includes a dishwasher and washing machine. There is a separate living area with gas fireplace for cooler evenings. A separate bedroom with bath is adjacent. Wifi access available. Maria is a wonderful and attentive hostess. We enjoyed a great tour with her husband Ken to antisana and the market at Sangolqui. We highly recommend this apt.
