My wife is a teacher and I am an air traffic controller. I like cycling on the countryside. We love traveling around the world.

It was my first house in Barcelona where I was very happy, I started to know Barcelona from there. I think it's a really good apartment from where my customers can go easily to the main city sites due to it's adequate central location.
It is a quiet place in the middle of Barcelona. It's very well communicated and you can walk to the main places. It's very close to the Barcelona's fair. There's a quality restaurant crossing the street, but there are many more recommended restaurants around. If you like cooking there's the Ninot market and specials shops like Jamonísimo near by. It takes only 15 minutes to the airport by a taxi or an airport bus.
We had a wonderful few days in Barcelona staying in Fidel's apartment. It was close enough to walk to most of the sights and the metro was also very convenient. When we arrived Carmen was there to greet us, she was very helpful and friendly. We brought a car which we parked in the car parking space - very secure and reasonably close, we had a Ford C-Max which doesn't have the best turning circle so it was a bit tight wriggling into the car park but plenty of space once in there - the car park would also serve as a place where bikes could be stored securely. - Overall it was a wonderful home from home.
We are a family traveling with 3 teenage daughters. This apartment gave ample space for the five of us. Nice living room/ dining area to spread out. Master bedroom has loads of closet space for everyone's clothing. Second bedroom has upper double bunk, lower bunk, and pull out trundle which our daughters found comfortable. Bathroom is LARGE with ample space for stuff. Nice shower, good water pressure but limited hot water. Worked out fine if spread out showers. Kitchen had everything we needed. There is one AC in living room so slept with doors open for circulation. Rooftop terrace a plus. We had snacks and wine up here after a day of touring. It is shared, separate tables though, with the tourist flat across. There was a nice trio from Canada and we got on fine so it worked out well. Washer is also up here. Worked great. Did wash first thing in morning then hung clothes on terrace to dry while we were out touring. Free parking space a few blocks away was a huge plus! Lastly, the location is fantastic. Buy a T10 card at Metro and it is much cheaper. No sign of pick pockets that everyone speaks of ...we found Barcelona Metro very safe, very clean...big change from when we were here 20 years ago. Easy walk to subway stations. There is a super market just one block away, so we bought food there and had picnics in the city, then made dinner at the apartment. We highly recommend this lovely flat to families.
We are fellow VRBO owners and frequent users of VRBO properties throughout the US and Europe. This property exceeded our expectations, it was clean, well organized had nice touches like coffee for the espresso maker. The rooftop terrace was perfect for enjoying a glass of wine at the end of the day.The owner was extremely helpful and generous with his time. The Metro was very close and the neighbourhood was safe with restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The best meal we had in Barcelona was in a restaurant literally right across the road (Casa Valle) don't be fooled by the outside appearance, the food and service were outstanding. Overall this was one of the nicest VRBO properties we have stayed in. When we return to Barcelona we will endeavour to stay again.
My husband and I, along with our adult daughter, stayed in Fidel’s apartment over the 2013 Christmas holiday. The apartment was very clean, well-stocked with necessary essentials and wonderfully situated close to many amenities, including grocery stores and bakeries. The owner had anticipated and provided for our every need from wireless internet connection, to laundry and dish soap, to a blow-dryer. It was located in a quiet part of town, but still very close to the center core. Fidel was a very caring apartment owner, ensuring that we were greeted at the apartment even though our flight arrived late and then coming by at a pre-arranged time to see if all was well with the accommodations. We would not hesitate to stay in this apartment again or recommend it to a friend.
We spent a week at this apartment in June with our two children. The apartment was attractive, clean, well-equipped, and conveniently located near grocery stores, mass transit, and restaurants. The neighborhood is low-key and residential. The owners were extremely hospitable and helpful in making sure that we got settled in quickly. And the roof terrace is beautiful in the evenings! My husband & I stayed in this apartment for 5 nights in June 2013. Overall, we had a great experience and will recommend the apartment to family and friends. Highest marks are given for the owner's terrific customer service. He was unfailing patient in answering all our questions prior to booking, met us at the apartment at 11 p.m. on a holiday after we arrived from a late flight, provided terrific recommendations for neighborhood businesses, fixed a problem with the shower in record time, and helped arrange special taxi service back to the airport with an incredibly helpful driver who stored our luggage during the day! The location of the apartment was also great. It is within 3 blocks of the Roquefort subway station, within 2 blocks of a full size grocery store and near to many small restaurants and bars. The apartment is not fancy, but clean and includes everything you need for a longer term stay. The only reason that we did not give an Excellent overall rating is because the apartment is not soundproof. The noise from neighboring properties did not cause us any problem with sleeping, but it would have been an issue if we stayed inside during the day rather than out sightseeing. Bottom line, the owner's great service and the location of the property vastly offset any concerns about hearing a vacuum cleaner running!
