Modern City stay with all your home comforts.
Location- Heart of central London on Sloane Avenue with marvelous restaurants, museums, parks, Buckingham Palace, Royal Albert Hall and shops, including world famous Harrods, within walking distance. Easy walk to underground stations (South Kensington and Sloane Square) which serve the whole of London.
Apartment-Recently updated to provide all mod cons. One bedroom, bright double aspect apartment on the second floor (UK first floor) within a large luxury secure apartment block with concierge service. One bedroom, one bathroom, hall and living room with kitchen, TV. area, dining area and desk. The kitchen includes a washing machine, dishwasher etc making it ideal for an extended stay.
My son and I spent ten days in this delightful little flat. The location was stunning, a short walk to two underground stations, as well as a bus right outside the door. Seeing the sights was enhanced by the ease of access. Some very good restaurants within walking distance, as well as a grocery store right across the street along with coffee shops and other conveniences. Thanks Caroline for your assistance and for making our trip so pleasant.
We arrived Sept.27 and spent 6 nights at the apartment. Upon exiting the cab we were immediately impressed with the building. Check-in was easy. The concierge at the desk was friendly, had our names on the list, handed us the keys and so our time in London began.
The apartment was everything we hoped and more. The apartment is a corner unit and has plenty of windows to let as much light as one could want. All the essentials you would need are provided. From a stove top and oven, to dishes, glasses , linen etc... The apartment itself is a great size and the couch does pull out as an extra bed if need be. The décor is modern and overall, a wonderful apartment to stay in.
As a few people have previously mentioned, there is a grocery store approximately a two minute walk from the apartment as well as a starbucks for those who need their fix of coffee. Walk out of the building, turn right and across the street is Sainsbury's grocery and starbucks. Walk out the building and turn left, you are a 5 minute walk to the Queen's Head pub (definitely a place to go should you want a traditional style pub to sit and relax in).
The apartment is central to so many things. It is about a 15 minute walk to the Sloane tube station. We found after taking the tube a few times we ended up preferring the double-decker buses. It's like jumping on a tour bus each time. you get see different streets, shops, buildings. The bus routes run everywhere and I would recommend trying out the buses. An Oyster card is the way to go if you plan on taking public transit during your stay, it's well worth it.
When you leave the apartment, if you turn right and begin walking, it is only about a 20 minute walk to Harrod's. Just walking around the different streets of the neighborhood you will quickly realize that the apartment is spot on in location and convenience.
As mentioned at the beginning, the apartment building is beautiful and the apartment is fantastic.
I also want to say thanks to Caroline as dealing with her was such an easy process..
This flat is very charming and in a very central and "easy to get to everywhere" location. It was clean and well-maintained; the pictures are very representative. I was traveling with my two children and the flat was the perfect size for us, and we took advantage of the kitchen to have most breakfasts and dinners at the apartment.
The owner was great to work with, and the concierge in the building was helpful as well. I would most definitely recommend a stay here!
My boyfriend and I stayed in Caroline's apartment during our 4-day trip to London. Everything about the experience was very pleasant.
Booking the flat was quick and easy, we sent Caroline money via PayPal and received all necessary information very quickly. Upon arrival, we didn't have any trouble finding the building and it's a quick 7-10 minute walk from Sloane Square or South Kensington station, both on very convenient Circle and District lines.
The place itself is just as described. Everything was in perfect condition and the modern design made the place very pleasant to come back to every evening. The shower had awesome water pressure (we stayed in 3 different places across England and water pressure was always an issue). The bed is really, really comfy and big enough for two people. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you might possibly need to make dinner without having to leave the apartment.
There is a Sainsbury's supermarket right across the street, which is open until midnight (awesome!), as well as a Starbucks.
The only small complaint is that the wifi was going down occasionally, but after restarting the router things were going back to normal, so it definitely wasn't enough to change our overwhelmingly positive impression!
The pictures and other reviews accurately describe the apt. It's a very cute flat in a beautiful building and a perfect location. The kitchen was complete with a Sainbury grocery right across the street. However, Starbucks across the street was all we needed! We were gone from morning till late every day during our 3-day stay, so what mattered most to us was the sleeping arrangements. The bedroom is small, but all you really need is a bed, and it was super comfortable with top-of-the-line linens. Small closet took care of our needs (3 adults). Our daughter slept on the soft bed and had the same great linens. Great shower with lots of water pressure and hot water and big, fluffy towels. The reception desk was an added bonus as it was staffed 24/7 so no problem checking out and getting a taxi back to Victoria Station at 3:30 a.m.! The apt is small, but the furniture fills it perfectly and you have all you need. Apt owner was very responsive and accommodating. Great place to stay in London. Perfect for two people but worked just fine for our family of 3.
A lovely flat in Chelsea with a great location. A nice selection of restaurants, shopping, and close to two Undergrounds. The British Museum and the Saatchi Gallery are in walking distance as well as Sloane Square. Caroline was most helpful in answering any questions and we would recommend it to friends.
