Hi - We are Randy and Janet LaDue. Randy, moved to San Diego from Ventura to attend college at San Diego State in 1976. He has lived in San Diego ever since. I met Randy in 1978 through a mutual friend and he convinced me to move to San Diego in 1981 - I have been here ever since! San Diego offers us everything we want in a city from the beaches for swimming, surfing and tanning, to mountains for hiking and skiing. Downtown is beautiful and right on the water front. The weather is amazing and consistently mild. It is an awesome city!! We love to travel and have seen a lot of amazing places, but are always glad to call San Diego our home.
Janet or Randy LaDue purchased this house in 1989
We chose to buy this home in Bay Park because it had the view we were looking for and it is close to the beaches, downtown, airport, Sea World, the Zoo, Balboa Park, hiking in the mountains, and much more. Also, It is located near all of San Diego's major freeways for getting around easily and conveniently.
You will enjoy a view of the bay, ocean and beach-city lights from the front of the house. Step out the front door and go directly across the street to enjoy fireworks from Sea World on summer nights. The home has a lovely wooden beam ceiling, a floor to ceiling stone fireplace and a beautiful arched, stained glass window.
We've enjoyed sharing your home this week! You've really figured out the amenities and little things that visitors so much appreciate having on hand.
We hope you area able to continue hosting vacationers for a long time.
Enjoy early spring and take care!
Sue & Michael (Washington State)
P.S. Especially loved the sunny clear weather you ordered up :)
We had a great time! Janet was awesome about staying in touch and helping to make sure we had everything we needed. The first thing my guests and I noticed when we walked into the house was how clean everything was. We appreciated that we could take comfort in knowing that the house had been thoroughly cleaned before we arrived.
The house is close to grocery stores, restaurants, and other amenities.
The house is comfortable and the beds offer a good night's sleep. There is plenty of parking.
My friends and I all met up at the house before heading out to our dinner reservation at the Gas Lamp. It worked perfect as a central meeting location because it was easy to find and made it a safe way for me and my over night guests to enjoy my birthday. We met up, dressed up, carpooled with a DD, and then had a safe warm place to call home at the end of the night when we got dropped off.
Thank you for making my first renting experience a good one.
Great, quiet neighborhood and a central location. Randy and Janet have a very tidy home that's close to everything. If your going to SD, this is the house you should rent. Plenty of room for our family of 5.
With 3 nice bedrooms and 2 baths this house easily accommodated our extended family with 4 adults and 2 small children. Could not imagine a better location to have for a week's vacation since it is in a beautiful neighborhood with easy access to Sea World, San Diego Zoo, beaches and other activities in area. The owners were very helpful and attentive when we had a few requests to satisfy, and it was nice to have them nearby. Highly recommend this house and we would certainly want to come back.
2 Friends and I rented this house for 2 months. It was an absolutely great place to stay. The house was clean and ready waiting for us. Janet and Randy, the owners were great and super helpful. The view from the front yard is stunning and the sunsets are unbelievable. Extremely close to Mission bay as well as Garnet Street and a short drive from many amazing beaches. 10/10 A+. I would recommend this house to anyone and would gladly stay here again.
This house was perfect for our stay in San Diego. So much better than staying in a hotel! There were bedrooms for me, my daughter and son-in-law and two grandchildren. The house was immaculate and pretty and the neighborhood quiet so after a hectic day of activity it was wonderful to come "home" and relax. Also, there were some unexpected extras that really came in handy like boogie boards, sand chairs and a cooler. The visit was tops!!
This cozy home was perfect! There were 5 of us (2 adults and 3 teens) and the home was big enough for all of us. It has all the comforts of home. The location is perfect as we went in all different directions: Cowles Mountain, La Jolla, Torrey Pines, Petco Park, Coronado, Mission Bay and various beaches. I watched the Sea World fireworks from right across the street. The owners are right there on site and available to you for all your needs. I would definitely recommend this home.
