WELCOME to 'Ocean's Song'.... 'The Ocean's Song is the music of our souls!'

This is NOT your granny's beach house!!

Ocean's Song is a gorgeous 3,600 sq.ft. house, decorated to reflect the Island/Coastal chic, and yet very comfortable with the 'feel' of a cozy old Isle of Palms beach house, yet it is only 9 years old. High end finishes, granite counters, stainless appliances, hardwood floors throughout, laundry room with new washer and dryer, plus the 'Powder Room' is a full bath as well!!

AND, EVERY BEDROOM HAS IT'S OWN PRIVATE BATH!! This house is designed for the whole family -- children of all ages welcome!!!

This home is designed and situated for pool and beach fun! It is beautifully decorated and has every convenience for your stay and yet you will feel comfortable and can 'kick back' and relax!! 'Ocean's Song' is the house you will fall in love with -- where you will want to return year after year!

A few things you will enjoy:

* The entire backyard is a pool [salt water system] area with two levels of decks. Many chairs/chaise lounges and tables make it a great area for entertaining, playing in the pool and sunning! The six burner grill will test Dad's culinary skills.

* The large elevator helps avoid carrying your things up steps, plus it is roomy enough for a wheelchair.

* One block from the beach, it is only a 3 min walk! We have provided beach toys, Boogie boards, Tommy Bahama beach chairs, Beach Buggy, Beach Wagon and Beach umbrellas. Being one block off Palm Blvd. gets you away from the heavy traffic and all of the 'off road' beach parking for the public. You have private parking and no one will be parking in the front yard except you!

* The Isle of Palms Rec Center is just one block away, with tennis courts, gym, fitness center, basketball court, baseball field and lots of play area for your athletes and the youngsters.

* This nine year old house has all the high-end features and appliances you would want -- stainless appliances, french door refrigerator w/ ice and water in door, separate beverage center, oven and warming oven, microwave, gas cooktop, Keruig coffee maker and regular coffee maker, plus electric water pot for tea. The kitchen features granite countertops, two separate sinks, an island and a large outer counter. The kitchen is TOTALLY equipped with EVERYTHING YOU NEED! We also have a separate laundry room with a new heavy duty washer and dryer, plus laundry sink.

* You will like the luxury of the Biltmore Estate sheets and towels, as well as Pine Cone Hill bedskirts. Luggage racks, hair dryers and hand/full length mirrors are provided. Each bedroom is beautifully appointed [with numerous sleeping pillows!] and ready for you to relax at the end of a fun-filled day!

* Ocean's Song has an inverted floorplan. GROUND LEVEL is the garage area where there is a Ping Pong Table, shower and various toys, plus the sliding glass doors out to the pool area. The FIRST level has four bedrooms, each with its own bath. There is also a laundry room on that level. The SECOND level has the MBR, OPEN kitchen, dining area and great room. Also a screened porch. The THIRD level has no living area, but has furniture for you to sit and relax while you enjoy looking out at the view [ocean in distance] and sunsets!

* Almost forgot to mention the 'tellies' -- 60' HD TV with sound bar and Blu-Ray player in the Great Room, 51' HD TV and Blu-Ray player in MBR, and 40' TV's in all of the other BR's. Also high speed WI-FI

About Linda Letson

Hello! We are Bill and Linda Letson, owners of Ocean's Song - we live in Denver, CO. [Having moved here from Ohio last year.] Bill is still practicing law part time from his home office and I totally manage Ocean's Song. We love living in CO, of which the best part is being close to our children and grandchildren!!

We are keeping very busy in 'retirement'!! Ha!! Bill spends his free time playing golf, tennis and bridge, plus some fly fishing!! He also enjoys getting together with his old Harvard buddies and 'studying' the stock market! I am busy managing Ocean's Song and getting settled here in Denver. I am also trying my had at watercolors and love photography.

For the past twelve years we have spent Jan through Mar. at the Isle of Palms. We fell totally in love with the IOP and Charleston!!!! So in 2012, when we had the opportunity to purchase this beautiful home we decided it was time!

Since then we have worked very hard to make special improvements... Ocean's Song is beautifully decorated with all the amenities of home AND MUCH MORE!!

I am not a professional decorator, but decorating is my passion!! Ocean's Song has been my biggest 'decorating' project since I last purchased, rehabilitated and decorated a lovely 'house/cottage' on the waterfront of Lake Erie!! 'Summer Hill Cottage', was featured in Lake Erie Living magazine as one of the 'Top Ten Rentals on Lake Erie'.. that included PA, NY, MI and CANADA!!

[We also recently did a 'flip' bungalow in Charleston and it was featured on the HGTV program, 'Buy or Rent'... ours was a 'buy'.... ]

Hopefully, all of our guests at Ocean's Song, will also become 'friends' and will return year after year, as did our guests at Summer Hill Cottage!

The cleaning team, headed by my Cleaning Manager, Diane Buzille, and her husband Charlie, are fabulous and are real sticklers for the details!! They and their team focus on Ocean's Song and clean no other houses. They are also personal friends.

And if any problems should arise, just call me directly, 24/7, and things will be handled... I have an entire crew of professionals to call on to handle any situation that might arise. So no need to worry that we are living in Denver.... you are never more than a call away!!

One of a kind!

This house is truly amazing in every way! My children wanted to take me away for my 70th birthday and we all decided that a week in Charleston would be great. We wanted to explore the city, but we also wanted to be a short walk to the beach, so a house on the Isle of Palm sounded perfect. I thought they had chosen a smaller cottage type house, and was really surprised when I walked into this enormous 3 level home. It was beautifully decorated with a rich warm feel, and we all instantly fell in love! The owner had left gifts for us all, and a special one for my birthday. So thoughtful in so many ways. The house was fully with anything you could ever want or need during your stay. I can't wait for a big occasion to return to this beautiful home. The house is a 5 min walk to the beach, and a 25 min ride into the city. Some of our favorite restaurants were Slightly North of Broad, Poogan's Pourch, Eli's Table, and Coleman's Public House.

We chose this loveliest of homes for an all girl celebration of 4 September birthdays. I arrived a day early to get "all set up" for the rest, but there was absolutely NOTHING to do but unpack my suitcase & wait for the others to arrive. Linda (owner) even had a birthday gift for my mom's 87th birthday on the counter! She was so surprised & overwhelmed. But we found this to be the kind of thoughtful planning & efforts that the owners have made to provide everything you could possibly need in the house. The furnishings are just exquisite & the house was even decorated for fall, down to the pillows on the couches! It was a treat just to walk through the house and look at each room with its own personality! Having all the towels, including dark,makeup washcloths, & beach & pool towels was a real plus, not to mention the beach chairs & buggies. The bed linens were of the finest quality & if you don't get a good night's sleep on those beds, then you must need medication anyway!
We all loved the fact that every cabinet & drawer & lightswitch was labeled. That made it so easy to put things back where they belonged. And having directions for the TV's, elevator, keys, etc. was very helpful. The screened porch is perfect for coffee & early morning conversations & the pool area was perfect for the day when the sun was in & out of the clouds. Just a 5 minute walk to the beach, but the beach buggies make it pretty effortless.
We went into Charleston & did a carriage ride for a 1.5hr tour. Our guide was fabulous & we learned alot. While there are wonderful restaurants in Charleston, we choose to stay on the island simply because we didn't want to have to drive that far. Our favorite for breakfast is the Sea Biscuit--1 mile from the house, and favorite for dinner was Acme Low Country--right beside Sea Biscuit. We also had a good meal at Long Island Cafe right beside Harris Teeter. We cooked one night in the well-appointed kitchen. Only thing missing was the chef himself! But Linda would probably arrange that, too, if you wanted one!!
I would highly recommend this house for any kind of celebration, vacation or gathering. You won't be disappointed & we will definitely be back if we get the opportunity.

Spectacular Home!

My husband and I stayed in this home in mid September with 3 other couples. The weather was warm and somewhat rainy. All of us are semi retired and are accustomed to very nice hotels and resorts and are VERY selective and observant about all the details. We chose this home after hours of looking at homes in the area and are confident that we made the right choice! This spotlessly clean home is very large with a wonderful kitchen open to the dining and living space, all with ample seating for us to visit, watch TV or eat. There is a screened porch ( a favorite spot) with a seating area and another dining table adjacent to the living area. The bedrooms were large with lovely bedding and decor and all had very well appointed private baths. We had 3 King beds ( Master on living area level) and a room with 2 Queens which were all spacious and comfortable. ( We did not use the bunk room, which also was better than average.) Each bedroom has a TV. There is a quality laundry room on the same floor with 4 of the bedrooms- very handy. My husband was having some foot problems, so the elevator was wonderful for him and also for all of our luggage. No hauling bags or groceries up and down stairs! If you want to get a glimpse of the ocean, you can go up a spiral staircase to a top floor balcony. Great for watching the sun rise. The whole house is extremely well organized and there are labels for switches and in cabinets. The dishes, utensils, cookware, etc., were of very substantial quality. We enjoyed the Keurig as well as the regular coffee maker and were grateful for some coffee/tea supplies upon our arrival. The AC worked wonderfully well! It is about a 10 minute walk to the beach. The pool is very private with a gas grill and nice patio furniture. Adjacent to the pool are patio doors which open into a full basement with a ping pong table and a sitting area. It too, is very clean and well organized ( great youth hangout if you have them with you). We never used the front door, but came in and out of the garage and up the elevator/stairs. I would highly recommend this home. The owners are very friendly and responsive and have thought of everything to make your stay pleasant. Everything... from the walls, art, decor. floors, light fixtures, appliances, cabinets, doors, hardware, furniture, bedding, towels... were ALL top notch! We enjoyed a couple of their restaurant recommendations, and of course, eating at Magnolia's and wandering downtown Charleston. GO!

Wonderful memories were born here!

Our stay was the closest thing to paradise this side of heaven! The house complements the natural beauty of the nearby ocean; it has every amenity one could imagine. Our only regret is not having more time there. It is elegant yet homey, and even if it rained all week (which it didn't) being in the house would have been enough. It is pet-friendly and the elevator was a great convenience as our dog is old and we would have had to carry him up and down the steps. The pool is sparkling and every inch of the house was clean upon our arrival. We've rented on IOP for over 20 years, but have never found an owner until now who was so available and accessible 24/7 for the few questions we did have. It was the perfect spot for our family reunion, and the house itself is even better than the pictures portray.

Awesome House

We just returned from a family vacation at Ocean's Song. This house is definitely one to rent again! The attention to detail was far and above what we have ever experienced in a rental property. The owner has taken very special care to make sure her guests are comfortable. The house was impeccably clean; the furnishings were comfortable and inviting; the decor could be displayed in a House Beautiful magazine; and there were small notes left around the house with helpful instructions, not to mention the endless collection of brochures and reviews of things to do and places to see. We had 6 adults (2 of whom were seniors), 4 children, and 2 dogs. The house was really a perfect fit for our group. The elevator was great for the seniors getting up and down as there are a lot of steps in the house (and the children also thought it was quite cool). The basement was spacious and clean allowing the children to play ping pong or rip stick around the ping pong table as they so often did during breaks from the beach or pool. There was also plenty of room inside to park our golf cart which we rented for the week. The golf cart turned out to be a great investment as it made the trip to the beach easier for the seniors and was fun for all. We enjoyed taking the cart to the beach, the rec center, the marina and downtown IOP. We only had one set back the entire week...the AC broke but the owner pleasantly took our call at 10:30 at night and made sure it was fixed the very next day. This house truly is outstanding and one that I would recommend to my friends!

It is also only 1 block from the Isle of Palms Recreation Center!! The Rec. Center has outdoor basketball, tennis and ball fields. Also a Dog Park. AND has indoor gym and basketball, plus many other activities....
