Scott and Robin found this A-frame while canoeing down the Suwannee River and fell in love with the view and setting. They spent a year remodeling it and now love to share it. Scott's a residential contractor and Robin is a professional flutist in Orlando area. Their two children have grown up vacationing at 'the cabin' and it is filled with years of fossil finds, and memories of good friends and holidays spent on the deck overlooking the Suwannee River.
This is the last bit of undeveloped Florida. It looks and feels like North Carolina - wild and scenic with some change of season, country roads, cows, forests, and, of course, the famous Suwannee River. Some people make paddling the entire length of the Suwannee their life dream.
Where the cabin is located it is remote, picturesque, rural and simple. There are views of the river from every part of the house and the surrounding area is very 'country.' Quite different from South Florida or any of the larger cities in Florida. On any day you might see hawks, eagles, snakes, gators, cows, manatee, otter, kingfishers, jumping sturgeon, jumping mullet, turtles sunning, many butterflies, deer, fox, rabbits, armadillo, wild hogs, tame squirrels, opossums....we even heard a bobcat across the river last spring.
